Would like to hear from some that own direct sons of Finley River Jack, the one Monroe owned not the one Mears owned!
Or Finley River Champ, or some Grandsons of Finley River Zoom.

This is a cross of some old course haired, wilder than a buck deer, track driving Finley River blood.
These puppies will turn 5 months old February 7th. I was hoping the guys and gals that got one of these pups could post images and tell me how they are turning out. Thanks in advance.

This cross is out of Finley River Driver x Cane River Cry Babe

These are the three that I kept. They are running loose and will get after anything with hair on it.
Finley River Scout, Finley River Showtime, and Finley River Tootsie Roll

These pups are naturals just like their mom and dad. They are just running loose around the house. Tonight I heard a big racket up on the mountain and after taking forever to trek through the snow, they had a nice big ringtail sittin in the tree. Made my day! 5 months and 13 days old with 12 inches of snow still on the ground.

Dad has a son of Champ that is 7 years old. His mother carries Silver Dollar Cracker and some House breeding. He was a natural and really good dog. Only pleasure hunted never in competition. That's a shame because he could have won his share. Naturally straight, just a good balanced dog.

Finley River

Thanks Men, Some nice dogs. I am no pro on these peds and in some cant see Finley River but only 2 or 3 times. Sweet talking walkers look like they have kept the Finley River fairly tight. I guess I need some help as to what dogs are actually finley river in these peds that dont have finley river in their name.

Idbowdude,
I know Stan and I know he wouldnt keep a dog if he didnt like it and coming from a guy who has mostly grade dogs he must like kite to keep him around and the dog must perform pretty well.

The Sweet Talking Walkers have I would think about as close Finley River as you would be able to find. A lot of Mear's Finley River Dan and Spring Creek Rock with some Monroe's Finley River Joe and Gann's Finisher. I would say most of what they have will go back to Finley River Chief between 50 to 80 times depending on the hound you are looking at.

I can try to help you carry some of these pedigrees out if you will let me know which pedigree you are interested in.

http://sweettalkingwalkers.com/

Here is one of the dogs you will see in a lot of their pedigree. He is out of the last born natural litter of Spring Creek Rock. This ad has his pedigree. The Patch dog in the pedigree is out of Finley River Joe and a Mack Twain female.

GRAND CHAMPION NITE CHAMPION SPEAR'S SPRING CREEK MAX

One of the last natural sons of Spring Creek Rock

How do the dogs at sweet talking walkers compare to the ones Mr. Mears is raising?

If your looking for F R dogs in the west that are used on lions. I think you'll be hard pressed to find any that don't have old House blood.

I doubt there is a walker alive that doesn't have some Finley River in it somewhere but who has one that shows Chief in four generations? The female I started with five generations back was linebred Finley River but that is all 8 or more generations back now.

Matt we will have to get together and hunt sometimes. I hunt quite a bit in Ohio. I sure like this old blood. I like listening to these dogs take the track away when the going gets tough.

Maybe not 4 but 6

Travis, your Haley female has Finley River Chief in 6th generation coming from Krueger's Calhoun Roxy. That was one of the reasons that my old female was crossed with Red Eagle Dick .
You are right about the Banjo Lines and Finley River Lines working so well together, it makes for a well balanced coonhound.
