Tonight. I actually got to have my munchkin for the first time on New Years since the D-vorce. Trent on the other hand I'm sure you don't need to worry about LOL! I guess the 1, and 2 were pretty close together on my phone LOL! We got it changed... I for one don't want another 2011!

DON'T GET FAR FROM THE HACIENDA

ON NEW YEARS EVE ANY MORE. ENDED UP NOT MAKING THE TRIP UP NORTH SO STAYED BY THE FIRE AND WATCHED THE NEW YEAR COME IN. HIT THE TIMBER LAST NITE FOR A COUPLE DROPS. WITH THE WIND CRANKIN 30 PER AND 19 DEGREES, COONS WERE MOVIN GOOD. SAW 4 ON THE ROAD AND MADE 2 TREES IN 2 DROPS AND BOTH HAD COON ON THE OUTSIDE. GOT TO CHECK OUT MY MAGNETIC ROOF MOUNT ANTENNA FOR THE GARMIN A COUPLE TIMES AND WAS IMPRESSED. TULLY, GLAD YOU GOT TO SPEND NEW YEARS EVE WITH EMMA. <v>

Didn't get any pictures this time before i sold. Had 22 and 20 of them was with Lexi by herself. Thay puts me at 45 for the year and Lexi treed 41 of them by herself plus around 20 that she was in on the 4 or 5 nites hunting with her dad and sister. I for sure can't complain about them numbers for a dog that just turned 2 years old today.

YOU GUYS HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB WITH LEXY AND SHE IS CERTAINLY SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF. SHE IS A COON TREEIN MACHINE AND WHEN YOU LOOK AT HER AGE, THAT'S A REAL BONUS. BY THE WAY, I HAD A PLEASANT SURPRISE FROM A FELLOW COONHUNTER/BLUEDOG MAN FROM IOWA IN MY MAILBOX. THANKS A BUNCH FOR THE BANSHEE SQUALLER. IT SURE LOOKS LIKE A HI-TECH PIECE OF EQUIPTMENT. BY FAR THE NICEST MECHANICAL THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. TONITE JUST WASN'T MY NITE IN THE COONIN WOODS. 2 HALF MILE HIKE'S TO DEN TREES, WHICH IS ALL PART OF IT, ESPECIALLY THIS TIME OF YEAR. THIRD DUMP THE GAUGE DOG GOT A BIG COON TREED. SHOT IT OUT, MADE ONE BIG BOUNCE AND WENT RIGHT DOWN A BIG SINK HOLE DEN. DEADER THAN A WEDGE, BUT OUT OF REACH WITHOUT PUTTING MYSELF IN A SPOT I MAY NOT GET OUT OF.
I HAD SENT OLE TUFF BACK HUNTIN WHILE I PONDERED THE COON IN THE HOLE SITUATION. PULLED THE GARMIN OUT TO CHECK HIM AND HERE HE HAD HOPPED THE ROAD AND WAS ALMOST TO BLACKJACK. THE MAIN ROAD TO THE SKI RESORT.
I GOT TO THE TRUCK AND TO BLACKJACK IN TIME TO SEE HIM COME OUT OF THE ROAD DITCH AND TAKE BMW BUMPER TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD. SPUN HIM AROUND, I THOUGHT HE WENT UNDER THE CAR, BUT FORTUNATLY DID NOT. IT KNOCKED HIM COLD, I THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD. HIS MUZZLE IS SWELLED AND HE IS SKINNED UP, BUT STILL SUCKIN AIR AND HE ATE HIS WARM GRUB AFTER SOME LIQUID TYLENOL AND ANTIBIOTICS. PULLED THE PIN FOR THE NITE AFTER ALL THAT AND AM BY THE FIRE IN THE SCHOOLHOUSE WATCHIN THE GUNSMOKE MARATHON. HOPEFULLY THIS IS NOT A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME IN 2012. <v>

Perry sorry to hear about Tuff hope he pulls threw. I hate the thought of what can happen when you unsnap that lead but it is all part of the game and if its ment to be its ment to be.

I BELIEVE OLE TUFF IS GONNA BE OK. SIDE OF HIS HEAD IS SWELLED UP AND HE ACTS LIKE IT HURTS YET TO BARK, HE IS UP AND AROUND AND ACTS LIKE HE WANTS TO GO HUNTIN. IT IS A SICK HELPLESS FEELING TO GET THERE JUST IN TIME TO SEE ONE GET HIT. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I SAW ONE GET IT LIKE THAT AND HOPE IT IS A LONG TIME OR NEVER TO SEE IT AGAIN. YEARS AGO, RUSS AND I WAS HUNTIN BY WHERE HE LIVED ON RIVER ROAD OUTSIDE OF JANESVILLE WIS. HE HAD A FEMALE CALLED JUDY THAT HE HAD JUST GOT AND WE HAD HER ALONG. SHE CAME OUT IN THE ROAD BY US AT THE SAME TIME THIS CAR CAME ALONG. SHE WAS THERE IN THE ROAD AND THE GUY DIDN'T SLOW DOWN, SWERVE OR ANYTHING, RUN HER PLUM OVER. WE WATCHED HER ROLL UNDER THE FULL LENGTH OF THAT CAR, SEEN SPARKS COME OFF HER STUDDED COLLAR. THE ONLY THING THAT SAVED HER WAS SHE DIDN'T GET RUN OVER BY THE TIRES, JUST ROLLED HER UNDER THE MIDDLE OF THE CAR. SHE MADE A FULL RECOVERY. I THINK SHELLY, RUSS' WIFE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN TO HEART BROKE HAD SHE NOT. OLE JUDY DIDN'T LIKE WOMEN FOR SOME REASON AND USED TO TREE SHELLY ON THE WASH MACHINE IN THE BASEMENT. <v>

Finally made it to Mullen's land tonight. Made a lot of trees right off of the bat, all dens. Worked our way to a foot plot left for the deer and they took a cold track and heated it up. Bo ended up with his head in a hole, and Bentley was split about 90 yards away with the meat. That was the highlight of the night. I don't know where we were, all I know is that we were 2 miles from the truck as said by the Garmin. Went down to the nearby creek and cut um again, and ended up gettin a couple more on the way back to the truck. Very fun night! Saw 5 coon shot 3. Also found a shed horn, pretty sure it's a last year's model. By the time we got back to the truck, the Garmin said the dogs had went over 8 miles. They didn't do a lot of zig zaggin, and I was followin them. My legs feel like they're full of concrete right now.

SOLD 15 COON AT GROENWOLDS SHOP IN FORRESTON YESTERDAY. GRANT BOUGHT THEM AND THEN ASKED IF I HAD TIME TO VISIT. I HAVE TALKED WITH HIM OFF AND ON EVER SINCE I STARTED SELLIN COON TO THEM 30+ YRS. AGO. WE TALKED ABOUT EVERY THING FROM COCK FIGHTIN TO RATS BEING SOLD IN CHINA. THEN HIS SON GREG CAME OUT. I LEARNED ALOT ABOUT HOW THE FUR MARKET WORKS AND WHERE THIS STUFF ALL GOES, WHO BUYS IT AND WHAT MAKES THE MARKET GOOD OR BAD. GRANT HAS PARKINSON'S AND HAS SLOWED HIM PHYSICALLY, BUT THAT MAN'S BRAIN IS SHARP AS A TACK. HIS SON GREG HAS MS AND IS IN A WHEELCHAIR NOW. HE IS A SUPER PERSON AND VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. THERE ARE 2 OTHER BROTHERS IN THE BUSINESS. GROENWOLD FUR AND WOOL IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST FUR AND WOOL TRADER'S IN THE WORLD. GRANT SAID THEY HAVE PUT UP 150 THOUSAND COON SINCE THANKSGIVING. <v> P.S. AVERAGED $16.50 ON 15. THATS 120 FOR THE SEASON SO FAR.

Got to see that pile, what a sight that was. Pretty cool country, would've been nice to have been hunting off of a Ranger as there are trails all over. Wonder if someday I can smooth talk my way into deer hunting in there?

That MS crap is just that, crap. No human being deserves to go thru that, and it's a shame some do. My mother has MS and is confined to a wheel chair. When she first started getting symptoms, it took over quickly and it has made me really cherish the small things in life we all take for granted.

Shellys doing good been running the hair off her and 2 daughters IV got about 100 coon as of now been treeing on alot of dens and getting alot of holes.but for almost 9 she can hold her own with anything I put her with!I wish she was a a little louder I would grand her easy!
