Bigtimber... how do you fancy the Carmel attiitude? Lol dad lived in Westfield for awhile. I lived a few blocks south of the 70 65 split and hated it! I made a ton of money doing lawn and landscape but driving an hour to hunt wasn't my idea of life. Came bback to the old homplace and ain't looked back!

Techno gotta go where the pay is, you probably wouldn't like it over there now for sure houses everywhere. Where I was there was a sign about houses for sale startin' at 320thousand to rich for my blood. It's growin' by leaps and bounds, perty soon there won't be any where left to hunt. Everybody stay cool.

Hello gang I'll tell you one thing--- them above ground kennels I bought off of Coy was muchachos well spent. All of them honest hounds were all spread eagle and cooooool as a cucumber. They are worth 5x's what I paid for 'em!!!!!!!! The best thing too come along since the shirt pocket. I'll never go without 'em for sure. It's thunderin' up here now.

Posted by Rex W Sims on 07-13-2011 02:40 AM:

we got some thunder but no rain TD.yea all my hounds are in above ground kennels...if there is any breeze stirring at all ..the hounds stay pretty cool...

We got a nice little rain. Cooled it off a bit. Enough rain to put out the organic Nitrogen on the lawn. I might be a sisy but it still ain't cool enough to run a dog! Maybe once these leaves start dropping and the temp hits the 60's I will get out. Allthough squirrel season starts in 19 days... heat or not I will be after them suckers. The HMR is hollering from the case allready!!

Here is too another stellar season!!!

Hate those spider webs. Especially when you run into them at night.

Leave some for seed ha ha-- this mornin' on the way to Highland, Il. I seen a coon on Rt.130 north of Greenup on the hill that had been hit, it was on it's back with a front leg up in the air---as if to flip off who ever hit it, had to laugh. Seen around 2 doz. or more today on road big and kittens hit-- hope the automobiles leave us something to hunt this season.

Posted by Mike Milam on 07-14-2011 03:37 AM:

I hate that when cars hit them. I see them way ahead and never hit one. Wonder what would happen if you were walking on the side of the road. Would they hit you or would they see you enough of time?

With all this talk of old timers and memories I think it is fitting to remember my little buddy. Spook is more than jist a coondog! This dog sleeps in the bed, tolerates the wife and step son, loves my little baby girl and plain ol makes me happy!

Here is too Spook!

He will be 4 years old come August and it feels like yesterday I picked him up as a 3 month old pup... man how time flies!
