HAVE NOT BEEN ON WE HAD THE JOKE OF A FOUR DAY FIREARM BEAR HUNT HERE IN MARYLAND. OR AS SOME CALL IT THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF MARYLAND. THREE OF US HUNTED HARD FOR FOUR DAYS AND NEVER SAW A BRUIN. WE CAN NOT USE HOUNDS HERE FOR BEAR. CAN NOT BAIT EITHER. SOME HAVE FOUND THIS OUT THE HARD WAY!!!! IT WILL COST YOU 500.00 TO 1500.00 IF THEY CATCH YOU HUNTING BEAR OVER BAIT IN MD. THERE ARE ONLY TWO COUNTIES WE CAN HUNT IN, ALLEGANY AND GARRETT. ONE WEEK OR TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE HUNT THEY SATURATE OUR AREA WITH GAME WARDENS FROM OTHER COUNTIES IN STATE. THEY CROSS REFERENCE NAMES ON THE BEAR PERMITS WITH PROPERTY TAX RECORDS THEN THEY GO WALK AROUND ON YOUR LAND. WITHOUT PERMISSION AND ITS LEGAL!!! THEY WILL CHECK YOUR STANDS, BOX BLINDS, AND TRAIL CAMS. ONE GUY WE KNOW THEY CAME IN ON HIM BUT HE WAS BOW HUNTING FOR DEER. THEY WALKED HIM TO EVERY BLIND ON HIS 75 ACRES AND CHECKED ALL THE CAMS TO SEE IF ANYONE WAS BEAR HUNTING. THEY INSISTED HE HAD A BEAR PERMIT WHICH HE DID NOT. HIS SON DID BUT WAS IN COLLEGE TAKING A TEST ON MONDAY. THEY HAD ALREADY BEEN TO HIS CAMERAS AND TURNED THEM OFF. MINE WERE TURNED OFF LAST SUNDAY EVE RIGHT AFTER I CHECKED THEM. THEY WILL ALL HAVE LOCKS ON. GLAD WE WERE NOT HUNTING OVER BAIT.

Those raccoon skins are taller than me! FUNNY one about the gorilla James! lol...
All well here. Busy in the garden today with Bob. Not planting any more stuff but still making walls and beds. We were supposed to go to my cousins for dinner today but had to change plans as they had some stuff to do. Tonight we are having "movie night" which Bob does with our friend Ben most saturdays. Watching a newer "Evil Dead" movie... lol... I'm a horror fan but this doesn't catch all my attention so I'm able to be on here saying HI!
Going to Mums tomorrow into Monday since she has a Drs appt at the crack of dawn Monday..akkkk... She is seeing my ortho. surgeon who I"v known since I broke my back back in 1975. He's a hot ticket... does mostly pro athletes...and sees patients for 1 1/2 hrs a week now...lol... He was a doll to fit in mum who is HOPING he can fix up her shoulder a bit.... She and I have really bad shoulders... with bone spurs and all sorts of bad stuff... and we BOTH over work them a nd have all our lives...so hers are probably NOT fixable at 95 BUT I think she just wants to see Dr Shea one more time.
I hope he doesn't ask how I AM doing! LOL...

Hi Everyone!

Nice day here and we have the window open still. I hear a cricket!
Good weekend with Mum but I'm all confused on what day is what since I went in on Sunday Monday. THIS week I do Friday Sat! HELP! LOL... Sports Med Dr basically said the xrays show her shoulder is done....SUrgery would fix it but she wont have it obviously, at her age. SO he gave her some simple exercises to strenghten it a lil bit. I got ALL the geraniums that Boston Univ. had planted in the alley they share with mum and last night got them all into pots here. They are all alive today.... so far! lol... I LOVE the deep red and they said I could have them...since they throw them out every yr.
Hope all is well with everyone. PRAYERS TO ALL!
Randy... I really don't want to think you went HUNTING in that SPEEDO!
