Mornin, 35 and still cloudy, aint suppose to get no rain for awhile and the sun was suppose to have come out yesterdidddy, but the weatherman missed it-nothing new.

Mornin!

WARMED up here a bit... 6.5 up from 5! LOL... Waiting for a BIT of sun to warm the things I have to touch before I go out to do chores. Bird feeders were full from last night(I thought ahead!) so I'm not feeling the need to rush.... I have a bit of time before daisy arrives for pup sitting.. Nice and QUIET for now...LOL... just the kitty purring in my lap(in the way of the keyboard of course...)
Tonight Bob and I are going with friends for a birthday celebration at a casino in CT. Leaving early pm and gonna be a long night I imagine. Should be fun...I love people watching and I've never been to Foxwoods. Figured I'd get on here early today. I have YET to catch up on the last few days posts. Have NOT been able to stay awake long enough to see wassup in all the breeds...LOL...
SO... we'll see how I do today. Ironically I've been on the comp. about five minutes and I"m sleepy. NOW I know the insomnia cure! Turn on warm laptop... BRING it up to bed, place it on my lap, lie down... go to sleep!
Enjoy the day... esp. where it is WARMER! Sends some warmth our way please...I'm SO DONE with winter!

WENT LAST NIGHT, [FRIDAY]. WE HAD A GOOD HUNT SEEN 1 COON, TREED IN SEVERAL DENS. I GOT TO HUNT WITH DONNIE FRANKLIN, I HADEN'T HUNTED WITH HIM IN YEARS, ONE GOOD OL BOY. Reb, Glad you had a good hunt!

Look forward to Spring SO MUCH! Still so icy here. It was a nice day. Got up real late.. did everything really late etc... Got IN late from the Casino. Was a decent night, we lost all the $ we intended to spend...LOL... We started teh night at a gourmet steak place. Steaks.. JUST the meat started at 45 bucks or so! I had the "cheap" salmon at 27$ LOL.. It WAS fantastic and we all shared. Some of the beef was AMAZING... so tender, cooked perfectly. Had all sorts of interesting veggies. THey had ALL sorts of mushrooms. We had Hen of the Woods which was a new thing to try. They were good mushrooms... cooked perfectly but WICKED pricy! LOL... It was a birthday celebration and the birthday girl picked the restaurant. Apparently the High Roller hang out. THe dessert was killer. There was an assortment that I had never seen. Wish I could recall. we got monkey bread smothered in pecans and sauce.... MAN it was the best..... YUM!
The casino was "interesting" some pretty normal folks and some real weirdos! Some incredibley dressed prostitute types.... It was... definately Different. At some point a crowd came in... the TOby Keith show had ended so we then had the country western crowd. LOTS of college kids were at the tables throwing money around... When the Bday girl wanted to play roullette for a bit we were treated to seeing a Big Money player at our table. Amazing how much one person can spend at a time on GAMBLING! OUCH....
Was a good time but the smoke smell was gross. Wont be hanging out there much...LOL....

SO... today finds us completely broke. Thankfully my mother had sent ME a bit of $ for my own Bday... and that paid for our extravagent meal...

FIgured I'd get on here a bit early today...I have YET to stay awake to read everything on here I like to for a few weeks now...LOL... Body and brain trying to hibernate till Spring I think.
Above freezing here... 34-36 (I just looked but short term memory wont let me recall) Have to go out in a bit to feed the critters and hoping that's about the temp then. FIrst I'm watching a hockey game and being lazy and browsing here. Probably be a blizzard or something when I go out...LOL. None expected though. Yay....

Corky I got them patched look enough to head out on Friday to Southern Redbone Days this weekend. Man do i have to do a lot of extra work. We had a blast Saturday night, the dogs did a good job and the guys we hunted with were as nice as they come. The eggs and sauagage was being cooked about 3:00 in the morning but they sure hit the spot

Johnny great photo, Heather sure was hoping you hit the jackpot, story of my life...lost again
