We took the hounds out for a little exercise last night. We managed to see 5 coons and he cold trailed one track about 800 yards into a big den. I left the secret project at the house and took NiteCh 'PR' Pigg River Cyanide Clyde and Lucy.

Clyde did a nice job. He currently is being employed as a pup trainer since there isn't much going on around here in the way of competition hunts. Here he is on the last single we treed. He likes to show off his style:

This is very exciting. You know how I feel about Candy. She's all coondog.

Panic is obviously making his mark on the world as we speak!

Like you said earlier, you're making it happen by breeding coondog x coondog = coondogs!

A female out of this cross sure would look nice in my kennel to complement her half brother...

It's easy to see and say that your ability to do this is simple !! You are not afraid to look outside the Box and Drive to GRNTCH PANIC and ecspecially when u could have just stayed in your own driveway and used your own Proven Reprocer in Hardwood Bean. That in its own manor is impressive and unselfish. Not to mention you using Bawling Rebel in your last cross !! Again your Breeding Program definetly does not consist of Jealusy Selfishness or the ME ME ME attitude and that's why you are not just a Owner of a Proven Stud Dog !! You are a individual that is looking to Produce the Best Dogs you possibly can and look towards tomorrow !! Keep up the good work !!

Thanks Mike, your rite I could have bred Candy to any stud of my choosing, she hasn't been in heat in 2 years, I went to clean kennels Wednesday and she looked swollen I checked her with Bean an she was already flagging, I called Blake at 4 pm told him Candy is in heat and needs bred now LOL, he stopped what he was doing an loaded GrNtCh Hardwood Panic up and headed east I headed west and by 10;30 she was bred, I won't to thank Blake for allowing me to breed to Panic, GrNtCh Hardwood Panic has a lot more winning to do, after the sunshine jamboree, Walker Days, PKC Truck Hunt, PKC SS, UKC World he's gonna get real busy!

I will be making another cross on a up and coming Coondog/Studdog that's out of Poison Smoke an Candy next year.

Mike said it best- you won't find many stud owners out there who will unselfishly approach another stud owner to breed one of his own personal females to the others' stud. Improvement of the breed is the goal and in this day and time we need to stick together! It's a shame that jealousy and envy get in the way of that. This isn't the first time he's done this either. We would be seeing many more high caliber dogs on the ground if we all had this mentality.

I'm glad to see that Candy and Panic are turning some heads!!!

I look forward to getting one of these pups also Mike. Candy has proven what she can throw into a pup, that's for sure. These should be some go yonder, independent, accurate coon treeing hounds. That's the way I like them! They are not for the weak of heart. If they turn out anything like Candy's other pups then you sure won't need a hearing aid to hear them through the country when they get treed. Man just think of the possibilities in the future!

Mike- ya'll northerners coming down for SETWD this year? If ya'll come early, maybe we can get together for a hunt. I've got a little something to show you!

Tonight we begin the push to the Grand American. We have been hunting the secret project almost 100% solo except for a couple of PKC hunts over the last month. Our plan is to get him in the woods nearly every night between now and the Grand American. Maybe it'll wear him down a little!

Tim it was a little unexpected but we got it done and thank you for choosing panic there are alot of people who would love to breed to a female of this caliber and this really shows the faith you have in your breeding this is a once in a lifetime cross these should be some awesome pups

Thanks dolly had a large litter 13 total but 2 was born dead the other 11 are doing good I have them in a nice dog house with a heated floor looks like I might have a few more to book and some for setwd

Swag (the secret project) is only 3 wins from GrNt. He has won nearly every cast he's been in. He is consistent. He hasn't been pushed in UKC because I wanted to put him in a few big hunts before he was granded. He just turned 2 years old about 3 weeks ago. He could easily have been granded as a 1 year old if he had been pushed. It's still early but he's currently #5 in the VA state standings in PKC. Look for him to be moving up!

He is a lot like his mom. He is a lone ranger and he loves to go hunting. He's big 85lb hound that you can hear him from a different zip code. He has a big "calling card"- if another hound can stand pressure from him then they are pull proof. He loves to get by himself and when he locks it down, you can load the gun. He is very capable of winning at a big level.

There shouldn't be any surprises though- he is the product of a coondog x coondog cross! Collectively his parents have won over $10,000. If it weren't for Tim having the insight to make this cross and then taking a chance on allowing me to buy Swag as a pup, I never would have had this opportunity! He has been paid up as a 2014 Performance Sire but we will only be breeding him to a limited number of select females. Instead we are going to focus on getting him in the woods and his name out!

Got a new camera! I'll have to get Tim to give me some tips on using it. This was from Monday night. We hunted Swag alone as usual. It was a typical full moon night in december- He hunted in deep and got a track going. He ended up treeing it in this big pine. We managed to tree a single and then he ran a hot track into a den.
