Yes Tramp II is here in Wisconsin. In my mind Tramp II will always be Mr. Jack Smiths dog and I am very fortunate to have him here. He suits me well.

Mr. Jack,
I have quite a bit of work to do yet around the pond but it is shaping up. Have not been doing a lot of hunting with all the weather but will have Tramp II ready for the hunts this year as he will be what I hunt at the larger events all year.

Had a call this morning from a friend that has a Dual Grand Female out of two Dual Grands that did some winning to her title with 7 first place wins in her part of the hunts. We are going to breed her to Tramp II next week. Her first litter is doing good and I would expect these to be no different. I will post a pedigree when we get the job done next week.

That sure is a nice one. Hope those snakes don't get after Gin II. She seems to be coming along nice!!I have been reading your and Steves posts on your hunts. She sure takes a nice picture. I hope to have Sledge going soon. Tramp is doing great here. He sure is a nice one.

Great weekend at the Tribute hunt. The club did a nice job and there was a lot of people there. Got to hunt with some nice dogs, hunters and guides. Hope everyone has a safe trip home.

I think sometimes we need to step back and enjoy the fellowship of the hunts. The conversations during the day and the hunting with nice dogs and people make it all worth while for me. I was glad Scott Uchtman had called and asked about sharing a room as I had not planned on going so I decided to go and take Tramp. Friday night we had a good hunt going and Terry Tucker took us to some great spots. Saturday night we also had a great guide and I got to hunt with two nice Grnites and two super handlers. I always wanted to hunt with Matt Turner and got my chance on Saturday. He was great to hunt with and I look forward to it again if given the chance. I have been very fortunate to have made some great friends through the years and to hunt some blue dogs that make me feel good about taking them to the timber. Back in 2009 I let Logan ride on the front seat of my truck all the way down to West Plains Missouri to the Fall Round Up. He was able to get King of Hunt that year and was always competitive. He was laying in his house last night when I got home from the Dave Dean Tribute hunt and I knew what the look in his eyes meant. I was able to say good bye and he passed last night. I buried him today on the Farm. Creek, Tramp and Hammerhead all wanted extra petting tonight when I fed them as they knew I was upset about it but that's life. Enjoy it while you can.

Scott, Sure hated to hear about Logan. I know how you felt about him. All the dogs and us will have our own time to go unless the lord comes back first. but it sure is hard to say goodbye to an old friend. I'm glad he held on until you made it home.

Mr. Jack-Thank you and Logan was an old friend. He sure was a pleasure to have around here and it was tough to put him in the ground. In the last year Banjo and Logan both have passed but I have a top male here to breed to Creek. Thank you!

Nick-Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it. We really had a nice hunt going on Friday with three nice dogs. You have a top female and it is not a surprise the winning she has done. When on the first drop we had three split trees with three coon seen I knew we were going to see some nice work. Terry took us to some great spots. I also hunted with two nice Grnites on Saturday and ended up with 550+ 0- and treed another just after the time was out but not enough to get the GrNite win but had a good showing and the cast win. Hunted with the Sioux Valley Jack dog and Meadowoods Penny and both have done a fair share of winning in their own right. Two really nice dogs.

Thanks for the bump Jeff.

Ol' Hammerhead passed away yesterday and I buried her next to Logan. She was a nice female and did her share of reproducing. I raised 3 litters out of her being bred to Logan, Banjo and Shadow. The Shadow pups are just coming on now and hope to see some nice ones out of that cross. Hammerhead was 10 1/2. Her health started failing just after Logan passed.

Tramp II and Creek are doing good and hope to get to some hunts with them in the near future.

Bred a nice NiteCh. Uchtman bred female to Tramp tonight.
