First picture is Hanna treed on a slanted tree out over the river. Second picture was her tree after crossing a swamp and knocking it down. She crossed a very deep creek with banks straight up and down and then across this swamp. To date it was the best job on treeing a coon yet, had a little ice / snow but still cold! She just turned 10 months old this week.

Took a short Sat. night with Hanna by herself. First dump she got in there about 280 yards and just rolled up treed, but it did not sound right. She was treed on a big den that was hollow all the way up. Got her of that and she went about 75 yards and struck and ran about 175 yards and treed and had one on a tree that went into a big oak tree, not much of a kill dog yet! LOL! Cut her loose one more time and she got in there right at 600 yards and made four or five barks that we don't think it was right, she came straight back to us in a matter of couple minutes. Not very good pictures tonight, only had Corey's phone!!

Hanna

Hey guys sounds like Hanna is doin good. Yotes might have sent her packin back to you so fast. A little young yet to make much of a kill dog. Plus she might have to wait till shes bigger then the coon might help.LOL
Hunted her sis Roxie and for her fourth night in the woods she opened on a track of her own and bayed it up in a hollow tree top that had blown down. She worked it forever up and down a little creek and she thought it was there. Empty but hey she did it all by herself. Robin got in deep and had the meat. I was glad to see Roxie do something on her own. She has a big bawl mouth that you can hear forever. Shes way behind Hanna but she will get there.
I think ole Guage and Robin done a good job on these guys. Havent heard about the males yet.
We got a few days of good weather but it hit with falling temps high wind and rain again tonight. Should straighten out in a day or so so with temps in the 30s.

Roy the coon was not bigger than her! LOL! As long as she can put them I guess I can do a better job killing them! There are several things I do like about her so far, not afraid to do her own thing and have it, pretty accurate when she trees and so far only one tack I have question and it did not go but a few hundred yards, did not tree the track and she normally never comes in when she has a track going until she gets treed, and hounds will not out hunt her is you take her with other hounds. Still not bad for a young dog. She did range out a little more the other night as we just sat and made her go, she is full of energy believe me!

Took Riptide and Hanna both tonight and the first dump they got in there right a mile and circled back around and finally treed a den tree. Next dump they got in there about 8 tenths of a mile and treed along a big creek and had the meat. Had to walk into them right at 600 yards but it was worth it, mud and all. Roy when we make the trip out your way in the near future we are going to bring Hanna with us. Hanna looked pretty darn good tonight, tightened up on the track since we have been hunting her by herself, almost there!

Well we took Blaze ( same cross as Riptide) 6 months old - tonight with Riptide and made three dumps. First dump right at 725 yards and treed with a double. This was the second night Blaze was in the woods. Blaze barked a few times and got up on the tree a little while we were shooting. She took a hold of the coon and ran a drag and treed on the treed but did not have the coon hanging in the tree, she treed on the tree without seeing it in the tree and let me tell you she was telling the world! Think Jerry was O.K. with the end results! LOL! Second dump was a dry run, no tracks and the third dump ran about 600 yards and treed in the ground, called it a night!

She looks good all stretched up there guys!!! Got to go with a male pup outta this same cross that has been out very few times also and man does he hate a coon and will also run and tree a drag!! These pups are doing really well for they're age and very few times in the woods. Keep on her now Jerry you got her going the right way! Lol

Hunted Hanna tonight by herself. Made 5 trees and three had coons. One slick and one den and ran one track she did not get treed, tried hard but it was grown up pretty bad and the coon headed straight for it and went down a ditch to a main road so we caught her. For ten months old she is doing pretty good. Hunt started out a little slow but picked up as the night went on, got in there about 425 yards but was covering a lot of ground. Nice night and it was 67 degrees, what a turn around!

Whats been going on? Havent heard from you in 5 days thought maybe you might have went to huntin all walcurs and had nothin to brag about!!!!! LOL
We have had some really good hunts with our Deal pup. He still needs to learn to bust out of Dodge when we turn loose but he still gets as deep as he has too.
I need to pour it on Roxie but we have Deal right where he needs to be pounded hard right now. Im going to start working with Roxie this next week.
Anyway just had to give you a hard time.

Sorry Roy but it has rained two nights and one night we watched a basketball game. 100% chance again tonight and hoping it stops for tomorrow night. We have only hunted our WALCUR twice this year by herself and once with Riptide, she doesn't need any help and most can't keep up with her or the distance. She really does better if you don't hunt her, she is always ready. Basically been hunting Hanna this season and plan on doing the same, will take the others once in a while to keep them from being restless. Looking to come your way around early to mid-Jan if you or Timmy can go a night or two and see if them hounds of yours can run Hanna down a little! LOL!

Man what a sorry night tonight. Made two dumps with Hanna and Riptide and never got a bark and covered two one mile sections and headed them off. Dumped Hanna twice by herself and she too did not get a bark. Called it a night as the places we went we sure should have a treed a coon.

Took a hunt tonight with Jerry and his blaze pup off of Sledge and Jade. Made 2 dump treed 1 time it was slick but the water was out of the creek banks. On the 2nd dump got treed went in there and the big boar coon fell out of the tree and hit jerry in the head knocked him down in the swamp his glasses went flying and he was swimming in the swamps more the the dogs were. LOL After the we called it a night jerry was soaking wet.

yeah it hurt! I havent been hit that hard in the head in a long time and hopefully never again! Good thing Mark and Corey were laughing so hard or they would have got a picture of me sprawled out in the water! Thanks to facebook everybody around knows about it and i had to take some jokes, but being around Mark all these years has got my skin pretty thick!lol

Took Hanna tonight again by herself and I think the light came on! She got in there about 925 yards and struck and tree in a few minutes with the meat. We drove to within 600 yards of her and had to hoof the rest of the way but it was worth it. I feel the longer she treed the harder she treed. Made one other dump and ran it pretty good until it got into a swamp / clear cut and it was all down hill after that! She sure did not want leave the track and was a little hard headed about obeying the command come here!

Jerry our only regret was we did not get it on film! LOL! It was worth it wasn't it?

Took Riptide and Blaze tonight, Jerry and myself as Corey was too busy! LOL! First dump was in the hills and treed in about 20 minutes and had only ended up walking roughly 230 yards, had it. Popped it out for Blaze and she dove in and was stretching it with Riptide, camera at home! Second dump hit and treed about 450 yards and got there and it was a loaded and I mean loaded persimmon tree and yes it was blank! Went a looked up some other hunting spots and after dropping off Jerry I seen several people hunting and this was a first all year. Someone told me they had a meat hunt and seemed it brought out a few dollar hunters. One funny thing was one group was checking a trap and was in the meat hunt, and some wonder why more don't hunt these, had two live catch traps and one coon so far. Now that was helping their dogs and pockets both, get those dollar coons! LOL! Heard in Michigan 25 lbs. coons were bringing $7.00 and that they had to be that big and worked up, now what do these guys killing these 10 to 15 lb. coon think they will get?

Roy I was wrong tonight! I know once in a life time but yes I was wrong. Corey told me I left something at home and I should have brought it, well he was right but who would have thought it after this long? We still have a little training to do! I won't make that bad choice again either!

Well we had some fun tonight. We took Riptide, Hanna and Jerry's Blaze pup and a new one to coon hunting. Jerry took a young man with us for his first trip and after last night it won't be last to here him talk, ready to go any night! The coon in the picture was on of the biggest coons I have seen here in southern in. weight right at 25 lbs. and let me tell you the dogs had way more than they could handle for a good while and all three have battle wounds, some large battle wounds! One shocking sight was the Blaze pup pulling the coon off the side of the tree when it was trying to climb back up, it got her good but she stuck in there. The bottom picture was worth it all, they were all thinking who was next as they got their a---- kicked by this one! I know it is my job to kill them but next to a picked corn field, small tree and two young dogs he came out with a lot of life and did run and go back up again, same ending!

Took the old dog last night!! He was 2 for 2. We tried to get one down with some fight for marlens little female pup but both coon dead er than a hammer when they hit the ground!!

Max, Blaze for only being out four times seems to very aggressive and sticks right in there on coons. She is treeing a little on some trees and more on others. Remember my saying, running and treeing by nine months or, well you know! Riptides jaw and nose is still swelled up pretty big, what a kill dog! LMAO!

Took a little hunt tonight with Chase and Jerry. Jerry took Blaze and I took Riptide and Corey was out on the town! LOL! Treed a den tree at about 960 yards. Caught one in a ditch and Blaze ran real good on this one, was opening pretty good and was in on the kill, rolled up on her head but she stay in to the end. Tough time hitting any tonight and the ones we did hit were pretty short races. Never seen anything moving beside deer and they were everywhere when we were running the one they caught in the ditch. Had major fog and frost, don't remember seeing this before.

Took Hanna and Riptide tonight, Corey had time to go as well! LOL! First dump wind was a really getting it and the dogs hit and treed about 320 yards from the truck and treed a den. Second dump at the same woods the dogs got in there about 675 yards and treed, had one on the outside. Next dump we just dump Hanna and the rain started coming down so we called her in and headed south!
