Just bred a Dual CH female to Cowboy yesterday, hope she takes, on her way out. She is a real nice female that goes hunting, get treed and hold pressure if necessary.........Tim

Hunting

Went along last night with Paul, Gerald Everett ARK, with Shelly, Guy Houx with Peggy, Darrell Hughes with Bing, Cecil Cooper and Drive and Doug Lynn and Froggy. We were mixing and matching and alternating ditches, the dogs looked good and got some fur in their teeth. The females hunted were 1 GR NT, and 2 NT CH with wins, females play a big part in a reproducing bloodline, we hunt our females. The males were sired by John II and Joker. The males will be in the hunts this spring.

Cecil also brought GR NT CH At-A-Girl up to be bred to GR NT CH GR CH Astro. This is a proven cross that produced some real treedogs and a couple NT CHs at an early age.........Tim

Guy Houx's Peggy female and Doug Lynn's Frogy female sure looked good Sat night. Those two females will definitely get gone and get treed they are "TREEDOGS"..........Tim

Paul and Cameron were hunting late last night when they ran into a young lady out hunting by herself. She said that she was hunting a year old blue male that had been treeing her coon every night out. Paul asked what he was out of and she said Dual Grand Cowboy and Bob Hayworth's Scarlet female. This is Cowboy's oldest litter, have been hearing a lot of good things from this litter..........Tim

Just got off the phone with Big Brother, he was proud to tell me that At-A-Girl was back at home at Mad Dog Kennels and will be bred back to Astro. She is one of the top females in this part of the country. Paul and Cameron will have her at some of the bigger hunts............Tim

Pup reports

Heard from Junior Hines, Mn. about his pups. He has 2 Cowboy x Bree (direct Sparetime Spanky daughter) and 1 Astro x Sally (direct daughter of John II) pup, he said that they got out of their pen and he found them treed on a farm cat, first time out of the pen. Really good reports coming in on a regular basis about Cowboy and Astro pups............Tim

Have you been watching?

Some of the Team Mad-Dog members have been putting together some well bred, outstanding GR NT CH females that will be introduced into the bloodline. Roy and Timmy Clifton own 3, Gerald Everett owns 2 and Cameron Cooper has 1. There also is several NT CHs with 1-4 wins and some young open females with 1 or 2 first place wins. We as a group have always tried to improve on what we have by breeding the best to the best. We don't call a dog a reproducer just because he or she has some pups on the ground. We want to use dogs that their pups are running and treeing at a very early age, their parents, grand parents and great grand parents all having the same tendencies. A person can't keep on making the same crosses and expect to get something different..........Tim

Yes it is. News said it was about 1 degree or 0 in most of NW MO. I call BS on it though. I had 14 below this morning, and 3 other guys I talked to had 18 below.

Same thing happened last year. St Joe and all surrounding areas had about 12 below and Maryville and my place had 28 below.

Winter is starting to get old. I haven't been out in about 3 weeks. And when I did Joker went a mile and a half deep before he got struck. And treed about 2 miles from the truck. Coon was on the outside. That coon will never be run again........ . Spring can come anytime now....... Jon
