Congrats russell on getting charlie qualified, you have done a great job with him..... Shannon, rob, and bill thanks for your kind words, I will definately keep at it and see if i can get smokeys pups and also katies pups to the rite hands and maybe one day they will make the producing list...

Me and shannon hunted dutch tonight, he done a nice job and had the meat hangin above him....

after looking at several studs, Jane will be bred to Smokey when she comes back in. Estimated August or September. She goes back to Tree Daddy Hank, Droop and Tramp. Peds should match up well. She is 1/2 sister to Matt Turner's Kidd dog. Her littermate ch. nite ch. sister is 1 win from Grand nite. Another sister is just starting the hunts, her littermate brother is being used at stud and performanced, her full brother has a 3rd, I believe at 15 months. Strong blood.
When time gets closer, I will post ped and pics. Thanks Bo for the phone chat.

Yes sir, I plan on making the cross again, the hounds out of tht cross seem pretty natural, a lot of sense and easy to start, so I probably will..

Put me down for one of those if that cross gets made again. I like that charlie dog of russels and they all seem to be naturals. Not to mention as good a looking hounds as they come.

I'll sure do it, but you gotta competition hunt him or her when you get em ready, I no some guys don't like comp hunting at all but this cross has got potential to put katie on producing list and smokey so I'd just prefer theu go to comp hunters and I think you woulld do that

I dont think you would be disappointed in one outta that cross, it works no question about it. They are as natural as anything Ive seen, you just put um in the woods and they do the rest. I plan on trying another in the future. Like Bo said if he can get um in the hands of people that will push um in the hunts it would be better, these hounds have shown they can win, in the hunts and on the bench, all they need is a ride to town.

If anyone would be interested in trying a Smokey x Katie pup I know where one is. A buddy of mine has a young female out of the last cross, shes probably around a year old, good looking female, good mouth, will go hunting and can blister a track, she hasnt got the tree down yet though. She is a full sister to the male that I had that was doing so well, she just hasnt been hunted as much. The guy that has her works alot of strange shifts and she just hasnt been pushed as hard as she needs to be, he might get to hunt her 1 night a week, sometimes 2 and then theres some weeks he doesnt go at all. He said he would let her go, if anyone is interested in her get up with me and I can give you all the info, I think hes asking 300 for her and thats a bargain.

If you want to know more of her bloodline, The Bluetick issue of CB 2013, Page 34 shows her littermate sister, Ginger, page 121 shows her 1/2 brother Kidd, Same mamma, and page 127 shows her full brother, Luke, and more info on littermates and full sisters..Ginger and Ruby.

Roger Edwards from jonesville va, bought a female out of the 2nd cross between smokey and katie, she would bea a littermate to charlie and orrie, She won her cast Friday night with 550+ and that put a 1st place on her, rogeer also won a AKC cast with her, Glad roger bought her, he hunts a hunt every weekend somewhere....

Also my dad has kept notes of every cross, every hunt and score we have had, every worming shots etc.... We was looking, the 1st cross i made on smokey and katie, she raised 10 puppies, 7 out of the 10 are either nitech or have places on them, 2 out of the other 3 are dead and 1 male was never registered and never did figure out where he ended up

2nd cross produced charlie which has 4 wins toward grandnite, orrie which i made nitech, kate that now has a 1st.

3rd cross is now 13 months, and doing pretty good job, I still have a male and female i may sell, but i will be selective to who i sell them to, because i wanna see them get finished out....

Thanks everyone who has been hunting the pups ive raised out of smokey, I sure appreciate it....
