Heat index tomorrow 110-115. I just finished my weed eating. It is hot out there. That board fence we have I didn't think I was ever going to get to the end of it. I sprayed it last week and every thing died. But that wasn't good enough for momma. She was washing and grooming on her stud dog and her Aussies bitches. She didn't even give my coon dog a bath.

Hide the soap on her in the shower Mike--tell her she can have it when she washes the hound.

I am back from vacation.

Good to here Good news for Mike and wish Techno mother the best will put her in my prayers. Been off here for 9 days so had to read to catch up. Thought my ears were burning the other day and if Max and Rex was talking about fun times about me and Coy that is fine. We had many good times together and I consider Coy family. Having said that I didn't always agree with what he did but he did more good things than bad. Yes he sold fish but he gave many more to poor people that needed to eat. I know many poor people that Coy gave deer meat to harvested legal and not. But is it more of a crime to let people go without that need food, these are people that would not take food stamps. Yes, he (Coy) and Max hunted a day or 2 early in coon season just to say they did so did My dad and Uncle Max. They never could wait that day or 2. They did not hunt all summer or kill babies. Now having said, that it is a old saying that it is not polite to speak of the dead in bad terms. I would appreciate if you can't speak nicely of Coy, don't speak at all.

As for the vacation it was good spent 3 days in St Louis, Cahokia mounds, Zoo, Boat ride Tom Sawyer and the Arch. We had a good time. Back to work today. Like the woodwork tony and linda looks nice, glad to hear the fishing still good, produce looks mighty good. Always miss Rex SR. and Coy around berry picking time and those rabbit dogs. That line still runs today in competion and hunting. I miss them, but barely can hunt coon dogs with my bad legs. Hunt the small spots and level ground.

What is Black Cohosh for?

Have a good day, Jeff

Mike and Jeff, Black Cohosh is an herb that is used for many things, including acne, anxiety fever sore throat, rheumatism, and in the old days used to be used on skin to remove warts and moles, and was at one time used to be used as a bug repellant. It is also called bugbane. There are other uses too but to many to list. Google black cohosh and you can see pictures and find out more information. It is so hot outside think you could fry an egg on sidewalk. Feel sorry for TD and anybody else who has to work outside today. I hope this information helped.

Linda S wife of Bigtimber

PS. ask Jeff Ashmore how he got rid of the shingles. I told him what to do and he did it and it worked right away. Most people won't even try some of the things I tell them but once in a while I will find somebody who will listen and Jeff was one of them. Don't know everything but find new things all the time to cure things naturally. Hate Doctors and their medicines so don't take them unless absolutely necessary

Posted by Jeff Ashmore on 07-11-2011 08:21 PM:

Shingles and Honey

Linda told me to use honey and it took fire out of them instantly. I have a poor immune system and get them about every other year. DR's can't do much for shingles but honey certainly helped and have not had any residual nerve pain from them compared to years past. I will listen any time to Linda.

Thank you Jeff

Thanks for the school lesson. Never heard of it and never seen it and don't know what it looks like. But going to goggle and find out. Thanks

Ears are Ok. Max is doing well for what he's been through.

Nothing more that he liked logging and a good fish fry, especially belly meat off a flathead. Max and i had a lot of good times back in the old days. Don't see him to often anymore a few times a year. He pulled lots of tricks on me as a kid and I passed them on to my kids, like sucking water out of water weeds, grabbing live coon, eating raw deer liver. ect. Good Times by all. My ears burning just meant that somebody was talking about me good is fine. Those were the best times of my life, that is why I am bringing them back for my kids, should have started earlier than I have. Have lots of knew stories on the hunts we do together now. Glad you had a good visit with max as he is or will be 76 or 77, Dad will be 73 and has a race horse ( Pacer).

yea I worked some for old Paul Phillips afew years back,,he and your dad had some fun at the stables at the fairgrounds over the years....another great guy who is no longer with us...Paul was something else..way way back in the day Paul had a couple mighty good coonhounds...Hoist the yankee clipper was his old stud horse..they would pull in with a mare in season and clipper would kick them oak boards off his stall faster than I could nail them on...he knew what was coming....Don't know if Vinny takes as good of care of the place as paul did though..all that board fence around his place I put up...paul would see a few loose boards and call me..he would tell me to come out and bend some nail and tighten everthing up...then he would find a half a dozen more things he needed done..good guy for sure...
