Junior I let the Witch female out of her pen today since my sons and I were working in the yard. It wasn't five mintues and we heard her open down in front of the house on the creek. She had company this time, Hanks little Lace female that is a littermate opened and ran track for about 200 yds! I could tell Witch wanted to tree but was not sure, so I gave her a bit and realized she could be in something? Drove into her and sure enough the females had run the coon into a dozer pile. You could see lots of coon fur on the entrance point in the pile. Sure wish I could have got that rascal out of there for the Lace female. But over all that was encouraging to finally here Hanks little female open on a coon track. Good stuff guys!

Guys good to hear on the Speed and Lace pups!! My male is Really starting to take off. He has an excellent mouth!! He is catching on real quick. It does look like that is an excellent cross!! If I get out there this spring We will have to turn em loose!!!!!!

No haven't bred anything in the last month. I don't have anythning at the house directly out of Buddy. There are several local guys that do and they are making good dogs!!! Unfortunately Buddy died this week. He was 9 years old!!! Man we sure miss him already!!!

I am not sure yet if I am going to be able to get off work yet. If I do I will give you a call and we will set it up. I sure had a good time out there hunting with you. Its hard to believe that was nearly 10 years ago!!! Time sure does FLY!!! Thanks and hopefully we will see you then!!!

Rest in Peace NiteCH Watson's Smoky Mtn Blue Buddy (12/6/2002-3/28/2012)

On Wednesday we lost our dog NiteCH Watson's Smoky Mtn Blue Buddy.
It just seems just like yesterday that Daniel and I were raising him and training him to tree a coon!!! He was Daniel's dog and he would let you know that right up front!! Daniel was very proud of him!!! Heck we all were!!! Daniel was just 6 when Buddy was a pup. Daniel grew up with him!!! Buddy taught us alot you can say that for sure!! I will never forget the first coon he ever treed, he was only 6 months old!! He was very easy to train. However there was times that he made scratch your head!! Like the time he treed that possum at Bluetick Days in Portland Indiana, or the time it was snowing and he was on a cold track and he wouldn't let us catch him!! LOL..Man those were the days!!!! Those good ones don't last forever. He will be missed and never replaced!!!!! Thanks for all the memories Buddy!!!

Hunt the other night!!!

We had a eventful hunt with my buddies the other night!!! Jonah Emert, Colin Crosslin, and Dalton Knight came up to hunt with us. After being shot at, trucks tearing up, gas leaks, thunderstorms and everything else we did have a great time and actually treed a coon!!! It seems like every time Jonah and I get together it is very eventful to say the least!!! Jonah has a Nice Uchtman male dog named Hoss that always is a treat to hunt with. Dalton has a pup out of Jonah's dog that is going to make a nice one. Colin even though it is a walker has a nice one to. We are going to have to get him converted!!!
