What has happened to the lil feller? I though that he was going to join us in the 21st century? I see where Lilly is eligible to hunt in the $KC Breed Championship also.

Posted by Randy Ficken on 12-18-2015 11:44 PM:

I'm here Richard, Lilly is doing good and when the hunts start back up she should finish pretty quick. I haven't signed anything up for the Classic yet. It will be a tough choice between her and Trouble
On witch one i sign up.
Thanks for all the congrats on Rocky making number one. He is definitely doing his part as a reproducer. He was able to stay at number one of the performance sire list for the whole year of 2015.

THANKYOU to everyone that is hunting a Rocky pup.

NTCH GRCH PR CMRK DEEPWOODS ROCKET

#4 win to DUAL GRAND tonight with Rocket. 425+ with no minus now only ONE to go hopefully it will come soon.

Posted by Richard Lambert on 12-27-2015 03:11 PM:

Randy, it sounds like you need another handler. What has happened to The Missouri Mafia? Is Kyle going to hunt Zoe? Is Travis going to hunt Turkey? What is Brian going to hunt? I heard that Brian has signed up a new handler for Dew. You only have 13 days to make up your mind.

Posted by Borgstadt on 12-28-2015 12:48 AM:

Richard, Randy like to keep things a secret. Unfortunately I won't be hunting Zoe, she will be at the University of Missouri undergoing some tests and possibly surgery.

Sorry to hear about Zoe. I hope that everything comes out all right. Sounds like you need a dog to hunt/handle? I don't know why Redbone people are so secretive? I must be in the wrong breed. I don't mind telling the world what I am up to. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. If I had Lilly everyone would know what a nice young dog she is.

What has happened to Rocky? Do you still have him?

Posted by Randy Ficken on 02-13-2016 02:37 AM:

Rocky is doing good. He made it to number one on both the reproducer and performance list and everybody quit calling to breed. His youngest pups are getting close to two years old.

Oh my goodness, Rocky is the #1 Redbone Reproducer and no one has bred a female to him in 2 years? I guess that people don't put much stock in those lists. Maybe you just need to do a little better "marketing/promoting".

Getting ready to break out a Rocky pup at Southern Days this weekend. Hope he is ready.

Yep......exactly what happened to Haze too..... Haze missed number 1 on the performance list by like .3 of a point or something like that though.

Congrats on your success

Hammer got a first place win last night. It looks like the Rocky X Chick cross was a success. I have hunted with all 3 pups that lived, Lilly, Hammer and Chad's pup, Coop. I really like them all. I wonder how the #1 Reproducer would cross with my brood female Wendy? She and Chick are 3/4 sisters. Hmmmm

Posted by jguilliams on 04-06-2016 09:44 PM:

Randy, just wanted to give you an update on Hammer. From what I hear he is very similar to his brother Coop. He is going through a stage right now but we are making progress. He is laid back considering his Mom was high energy. Get gone quick and will open pretty quick when he smells a track. Takes him a little while to settle on a tree right now but on a good track he will slam a tree. Has a good locate and settles into a steady chop. Stretches out on the tree, not a lot of movement. Starting to like him more and getting some weight on him.
I hope some of these guys consider breeding to Rocky, I like what I have seen.

What rabble females has rocky been bred to?

Has he bred any daughters of rabble? If so how did those crosses turn out?

Rocky has not been bred to any females directly out of Rabble Rouser, but has been bred to some of his granddaughters with good results.
