Anyone been out the last few nights? I finally got out tonight made 4 cuts and treed 3 big singles and a den. Nice night out

Hoosier Man1, thats crazy. Your treeing bunch of coon. Down here in southern Ohio we tree one or two coon a night thats a good night. Most we ever treed in a night is 7 you dont hear that very often. I wish we had coon like you do or have a coon dog like yours lol

Had a 9 month old pup go .6 in a hole n a 15 month old go .75 into a old clear cut with a hole.......gotta love them spots where as long as the don't end up over that way the rest is pretty nice n 9 times outa10 u should just start walking to where u don't want them at lol

Turned Rose out bout 8:00pm,struck at 400 yds,treed with coon at .65mi. Took 4 mo old Rebel pup along to the tree.He wooled it a little.Sent her again, struck at 250 yds,made a big loop and holed it.Pup was gone all the time.Didnt have a collar on him but assume he was with her.

I put mine in a back pack and you hardly notice them. Nice pics I hope the wind isn't as bad as they say it's going to be tomorrow I hoped to tree a few.

Hes outta a local stud here in southern Ohio named Grnitech Backyard Limited Edition LE.He is a littermate brother to Top Gun.LE is the real deal and his pups are real head turners.Hes got a post in the english classifieds check it out.Went outta for a little hunt tonight treed a big boar on the outside of a den .Then another den so i called it a night.That wind was COLD!

That's a nice tree dog!!!!

Hunted our 7 month old pup tonight by himself. Turned him three times, got treed twice! Treed a slick on a creek bank and done a real good job on a den. Looks like tonight might be the last good night for a few nights.

Yea your right Doug im out right now. 1st two cuts went long ways both on big dens. Then Mouse ran one a long ways and had it out in a briar field then I took her somewhere else and she treed one in about 3 minutes. Bell treed a den did good on then a slick and now working another track right now. I hoped to get 3 or 4 tonight but well see. This wind makes it not so pleasurable.

took my lockbox pup out, treed den, recast him and he went and treed a double. went to another spot and put a hot track in a hole, recast him and he treed a den, called it a night. he getting better, believe he might make it.

seen a coon last night, went to track a doe my son shot and it was sitting right over top of it, looks like it tried to eat on the deers mouth. i must be getting soft because you could not pay me enough to hunt in this crap. coon should move as long as we don't get any amount of snow.

Roxy

Well this season is just about in the books! Seems like they just get started and its end of January already.
My project this year was a pup named Roxy. She was lightly started in November and I put some good woods time on her early on. Independent as heck did not make it any easier. Had to break her off deer during the rut and then the coon seem to disappear! With the help of some good friends she progressed in leeps and bounds.
Roxy was hunted 95% of the time by herself and treed a number of coons by herself. Hard hunting go and look for a coon track no come back kinda of dog. I have to say at first I was wondering if I was the man for the job, awful lot of hunt for such a young dog for this 54 year old coonhunter. But we gotter done!Thanks Dan and Bill for all your help and encouragement.

treed 7 dens and a slick tonight but ran good tracks all night even seen fresh tracks in the fresh snow and it wasnt all that cold once you got in the woods

Biggest coon of season stepson carried it 500 yards so he could weigh it 26.4lbs he shot it out a couple weeks ago when it warmed up
