Chawn,
Its up to fred but if he wants to keep tide through the winter thats fine with me. Unfortunatly the old fellas been pushed to the back burner a bit and most of our time has gone into chip. Always tryin to get that next big up and comer out of tide, and for now chip is it. If leavn Tide in the south for the winter means gettin him bred to another good female then im on board. What did you have in mind?

Murph!

I have a female that's a double niece to my old ghost dog.... She's pretty nice I've got 150 points on her in the hunts but missing her first for NITECH. When I get her finished that would be a helluva cross if he isn't in Canada when she comes in. I also have a male off the last litter from ghost that I have 2 first on, looking for some nice girlfriends for him.... I'm going to performance sire him for 2015.

Call me sometime, 731-307-8431.

I was hoping to do the breeding we missed on this past spring. Otherwise I need to line something else up. Casey should be in heat in Oct or Nov.
I'm sure Tiny will give Fred a call sometime soon. He's still pulling really long days right now...and looking for a new job.

Spent many nights in the woods with Otis and his sire Monks T J.My favorite hound was a littermate to Otis Nt Ch Two Bit Woodrow. We hope some of the hounds from Tide will make those old dogs proud.

Posted by LUKE SOLMES on 10-17-2014 11:48 PM:

Dave, good to go for the 25th. Should b a good time.

I never got to hunt with otis. When i got to know paul he had some age on him and he had sold him to bruce. Only know what paul told me. Said he went the distance huntin, not sayin alot, open here and there and bang tree. Fred said woodrow his brother was a dandy too. More of an open trailer. Fred and paul will both b here on the 25th and they can fill u in way better than me. My 1st dog ruger (still probly the best ive had to this day) was out of misty who was out of otis. I got him as a pup from a guy that bought misty and bred her young. He got me hooked on these blu dogs. When he was turnin out good i looked up paul and contacted him and thats how we got to b friends. Maybe fred can dig up some pics of the woodrow and we can put them up on here.

Luke

Nice 4 generation pics. GoodLuck w/ the chrome pup. I've got plans for a hopeful cross or two in the future.1 w/ Blue Label Two-Bit Lucy or/ and 1 w/ a pup out of her & Hagermans Jake(I'm really liken this cross).Going to use Chips littermate "ICE"somewhere. Maybe we can weave something together in the future. As you said, Hats off to the hard work and breedings set before us.
All we can do is try to carry on.Hope you guys have a good coon fest when Fred & Bob venture north......Dave p.s. make sure you have a tobacco/ smokeless store available in case Bob breaks his electronic vapor bong, again! LOL!p.s.s. R u gonna keep the purple sock in Canada?

Posted by LUKE SOLMES on 10-19-2014 05:28 AM:

Dave, those r some beutiful pups out of lucy. I would of took one but just got too much on the go here right now. I will b watching your crosses. I know u do yur home work on them and i certainly like the results in chip.
Do u have any updated pics of the ice man. How does he operate in the timber. Whats his mouth like.

I too am on the eeee cigarate. Im afraid of fallimg off the wagon though when the boys come up. If we get into too much purple sock then me and bob might b hitch hiking down to the reserve to get some of the cheap smoke. A whole bag full of grape flavoured ciggarellos for 15 bucks. How can ya not smoke for that cheap!!!

Tide

Dave, I think I got myself and Luke covered for the trip. I bought the local Vap store out and as for the purple sock I'm thinking the sock came back to Ohio last year. We will see if the Canadians can regain the tittle this year ,good luck to all LOL!!!

Posted by BlueLabelKennel on 10-23-2014 04:23 AM:

Tide

Luke, Thanks for the compliment on Lucy's pups. These are really getting some good comments on their color ,build and features .The Jake dog must have a good hand in this as her 1st litter was nice but not as colorful.I will post some pictures of "ICE" here real soon as I must get some new ones for the BBCHA yearbook. He could always do better in the timber, but you know these blueticks just keep getting better as time goes on,peaking at 6-7years ,instead of @ 2.He has a good carrying mouth and tone, which I think is really pleasant to listen to.
Bob,Hope you and Fred have a blast with your trip.Stop by and I'll give you two a bottle of some good "Ol Plum wine",which would help keep the sock "purple".Now ,where it ends up ,will be another story.lol! Keep us posted .
[B].
I SURE HOPE THIS YEARS PICTURE WILL OUT DO LAST YEARS ,LOL!!!
