JOEY,CAN A CLICK SWITCH BE PUT IN THE SUNSPOT,THANKS.

Yes sir it can. I have to change the box, switch and the driver in the head for the current ones. All of them bought after today will have the click switch on the Sunspot but the price is going up. The website will reflect that change and have the Sunfire added to it after this week.

People accuse me of being color blind. The truth is I will hunt red ones, blue ones, black and white ones, yellow ones, black and tan ones, or even brindle ones; Just as long as they are English!

Is this light better than the laser torch pro light?

This is only my opinion. But to me the laser pro doesn't compare at all. Not even in the same league as the sunfire. I hunted with a man tonight that has been hunting for 50 yrs and is one of the most well known comp hunters around and he told me its the best light he has ever seen. It's heavier than the pro but Thats because the pro looks like a toy next to the sunfire.

The Laser pro is a great light with great people behind it. If It wasn’t for the Sunspot lights that is probably what I would be hunting with. There are some differences in the two light but if one is better than the other it is a matter of opinion.

These are the differences:

The Sunfire has a larger spot The Laser is a tighter spot
The Sunfire is 50,000 Lux The Laser is 35000 Lux
The Sunfire uses an aluminum head The Laser uses plastic
The Sunfire battery box is plastic The Laser uses nylon
The Sunfire has 4 clicks The Laser has 6
The Sunfire has no colored leds The new Laser does

They both use an ERB bump cap but the Sunfire is around 4 OZ's heavier than the Laser Pro.

Those are the facts the rest is opinion.

joey,
Is there a chance your going to go with colored led's on the sunfire now ?? i'm just curious thanks Rick

Posted by Matt McKinney on 12-19-2012 02:00 PM:

Last night I hunted with some guys. 2 had cap lights with a led cordless spot the other had a 28 volt belt light. Sunfire was the brightest thing in the woods. 2 guys really liked it the 3rd like it but thought it was a little heavy. They all said it was the brightest they ever saw.

I’m always working on something but right now there is nothing even close to coming out. 98% of the ideas fail anyway.

As for the color leds. I could of come out with them months ago when I got the sample with the four colors but I chose not to. For me it is something else to break I concentrate more on brightness and quality.

My truck broke down a few months back it was a fan that blows air into the exhaust. It shut my whole truck down and is not needed for the basic function of my truck. I don’t wont to start putting extra switches, wiring and leds to fail at some point. So no I’m not planning on going with colored leds until I have to and that day might come but it is not here yet.

I can put a pop cover on with the same amount of effort it takes to turn the switch to a colored led. The popcover will not cause my light to malfunction.

Thumbs down it is a lil heavier than the laser torch

But I did my own comparisons and I went with this light. Any of you ky boys make your way to northern ky, you can try mine in the woods. Best I can do to help.... Ps, I love it...

Are you going to have any different pop covers to go on them? I have the sunspot and it came with a red one. You don't sell an amber or orange cover do you? Or know of one that would work? Thanks

Sorry to bother you again Joey, but do you happen to have atracking number on my package? Still havent received it yet. Thanks, Kevin

Beech, I just tracked your light it was scheduled to be delivered yesterday. The problem with usps tracking is really all it shows is when it should be there and when it is delivered. Everything else is never updated. With the holliday they have been running several days behind I hope it will be there tomorrow. I will pm the tracking to you if you need it. Thanks
