I'd say that pup of yours is gonna look a lot like Dozer. His mouth is impressive now, I can't wait to hear it when he's all fired up on a coon. It's gonna be outstanding.

WOW WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!!!

I have temporarily switched gears to deer hunting as this last weekend (23rd & 24th) was the Ohio youth deer gun season. To start it off my 10 yr old daughter was up to bat. Sat morning we got into our tree stands that we're hung 20' side by side overlooking my food plot (corn). The temps were in the 20's with 20mph + blowing winds. We made it from 6:45 till about 9:45 without seeing any deer movement. We got down and I decided to set up the ground blind along the corn field and turnip field. After lunch we got back in at 1:00, to spend the afternoon in a nasty snow storm. At about 4:00 the snow let up and the sky temporarily cleared. I told Hunter to be ready they were gonna move. As I finished my sentence I looked to the woods and there stood a buck, he walked right out to the field edge and checked the scrape. At 55 yds standing still Hunter put the smack down on him. As he ran into the corn field I hollered you got him. Hunter jumped up, yelled, I got him? And burst into tears of joy and was hugging me. After a 40 yd tracking job her deer was found. Hunter has already got a couple does in the last few yrs but really wanted a buck this yr. I am so proud of Hunter and her 8pt buck!!!

My brother and both of my nephews had been hunting all weekend also. They had seen a few deer but had no shots. I told him to bring them up to my place. Sunday afternoon they showed up. I sent my brother and older nephew Dom down the road to a nice spot on state land. Dom has killed a couple deer already and wanted a buck. They saw 7 deer but no bucks. I took Nick (9 yrs old) out behind my house to a double ladder stand that overlooks a feeder. This is Nicks 1st yr hunting and only his 3rd time out for deer. I had some pics of does at about 5:00 two days prior and told him we would have a good chance. At 5:05 it was game on. A doe and 2 yearlings came in. As I was trying to help him get on the big doe for a shot I noticed another deer was coming in, it was a buck. As he followed the does in he decided to stop for some corn. Big mistake on his part. Nick dropped the hammer and the buck dropped on the spot, it was a gnarly 7pt with 5 on one side and a big tall blade with 2 pts on the other side. Congrats Nick!!!!!!

It's days like these that will be some of my greatest memories. I will see if my good buddy Krystal can get some pics on here for me😃

This dog has a great temperament and personality on top of being good looking, and of course the best part is..he can tree coon too! This is probably one of my favorite pups out of Dozer next to ol' Jr

thanks Bengie for getting the pic of him on here he is a real hard tree dog that loves to be on the wood when he trees. He is doing a great job for me I couldn't ask for nothing better any time I take him out I tree coon with him. My fav thing about his is his loud mouth I don't believe he can get out of hearing lol

It's time to get back on it and get the dogs in the woods. It has been a good deer season so far. I spent all week in the woods and saw plenty of deer. On Thursday my brother shot at a decent buck and knocked him down. We lost blood and the deer with great disappointment. I figured I would find him while rabbit hunting late season. That's not gonna be the case.... Sunday morning he was on his feet, hunched up, limping and dogging a doe. Every time I saw this deer he has been chasing a doe. He was now nicknamed "The Pimp with a limp" lol. At about 9am Pimp, 2 other bucks and a half dozen does and yr lings bedded in some thick brush 125 yds from my stand. 11am another buck and 2 does joined the party. At this time all the deer started standing up and filtering my way. 11:15 The Pimp made a fatal mistake, he stopped in a small opening in the brush, broadside at 100 yds. It was game over. We have no idea how this buck was on his feet, he had a big hole a little high but in the back side of his shoulder that started to scab over. It should of been a kill shot. I also want to give a big CONGRATS!!! to my buddy Krystal Lear on getting her first deer. It was also a buck. Hopefully she will get some pics on here when she gets a chance. Even if its gonna cost me. Lol

My buck. Went all week and saw not one thing until the last day within the last half hour. Shot him in the neck and he dropped. Only a little 4 point, but he was my first and I was pretty excited !!

I had a good time at the grand American. It was nice to talk to everyone. Friday night I hunted Jr but didn't do any good. Our cast never saw a coon. Although I didn't do any good in the hunt I still came out of this weekend a winner. While on the way home I received a call informing me that I had won a Yeti cooler that was being raffled off. So needless to say I'm pretty excited.

As for winners, we should be seeing some off of Dozer this year. Dozer's pups are the right age to start showing up in the hunts and from what I'm hearing there gonna be doing some winning.

I'm still waiting for Ruby, my Trackman female to come in heat. There have been a few guys that have expressed intrest in those pups. Once she is breed and showing I will take deposits.

Dozer and Ruby have been breed. I am really looking forward to these pups and have very high expectations. They should be loaded with track, tree, and volume, and very good about having the meat. 5 of there pups are spoken for as of now. 62 days and counting.

The clock is ticking!!! More Dozer pups are gonna be hitting the ground, it's time to make a choice!!! You can either hunt a Dozer pup or have to hunt against one. Choose wisely.
