Kind of my definition between a boy and a man. you ask a a boy whats the differance between the two and you'll might get any answer,you ask the question to the man, most of the time you get the same. the answer is, a boy is allways trying to prove to his self he's a man. and a man knows he dont have to prove his self to anybody. Same way with coondogs,lol a young dog is allways trying to prove his self he's a coondog. I guess its simple thinking from a simple man.lol

Friends, Ever here the expression a friend would jump in the river for you ?? You know where this story is going..I met David Lloyd in a ukc hunt last year and this spring after nearly quiting for health reasons David started comming over and what do you do but get tuff and get going...Last night we took old (14) year old Thunder Blue half blind and week in the rear after suffering a heat stroke last summer with his 5 month old great grandson Pistol Pete. Old Blue took a old track and quickly headed for the Paw Paw river and before we could get there he took the track and somehow crossed the river on us..When he brought the track back he tryed to get back across and got hung in some branches. Thank goodness for Garmin..As I stood there trying to figure out what to do as it was obvious he could not free himself you know the rest of the story Davids light,boots and billfold came off and he dove right in...Got old Blue and they swam back together..So what did we do ?? came back to my home got some dry clothes and back to the woods............THANKS DAVID.....Take and old man hunting Ha Ha.........Larry

Mr Davis, Hope I'm not jumping to quick but I think the light bulb is turning on with BJ...I've been lucky to have a young man here most every night keeping me in the woods and had BJ out the last three...Him and this dog called Gun treed 5 last night in a heart beat and Bj split twice. He has the mouth we all dream of and I think he is comming on fast now...Going to be a real quick strike dog and a real independent hound..He will not tree unless he smells coon and when he does he will split and hold..Nothing like a young dog to get you pumped up....Thought you would enjoy hearing this as you are responsable for your insight crossing your dual grand to old Dan...............Larry

I love hearing this about BJ. But there's other than me that needs the credit,You and Jonh F. thats where it lie,s. you dont take credit where credit is do. Iam sure its hard on you to take credit for somthing as great as the breed that you as a hounds-man and a breeder has bred up. so i will do it for you. I been in this old sport a long time too,i know how hard it is to produce great hounds year after year.and you have done this. I am not only proud of BJ, but iam proud of you. you could have not give the pup a chance and sold him,but you allso beleaved in this cross.and i thank you. you know mr. Larry all a breeder can do is breed to the best and try to put them in the best hands you can put them in. This cross i can truely say i did, Larry Wilcox (world champion) Jimmie Woodard (producer of BeSheares Blue Boy II JUNIOR) John Ferrari,(several award winning female) Jerry Matlock (new to our competition sport but well on his way to the top) for me i was just along for the ride, and the 117deg.weather and bringing them in the house,last summer dont seems so hot now,hearing this about BJ. We will all see BJ on top one day and with the great kennel name there's no doubt. THUNDER KENNELS.

Hey MR. Wilcox idk if you remeber me, but i was one of the retards along with randall powell LOL that drove up too michigan from texas to get a piece of oll gun!!!!!Check out my 10 week old pup at the time!! she ran a 150 yard drag of a coon i killed that night and treed it like shes done it her whole life. i cant say i have ever had a pup show this much promise at this early of age! so excited, people better watch out she'll be turning heads in a matter of no time! this is a video treein by herself!

Dusty, Just might make that long, long drive worth it by this fall...My pup I call him Gun Smoke, If he trees just as hard in the woods this fall as he does when he wants to eat in the morning he will be a keeper.....Got to get my camera out...You take care and keep me up on that pup she looks and acts like a keeper......Larry

Larry, I Hit the wrong spot with my phone and deleted them...
Here are the pics of the cross. Tick is the male, Venom is the black and white female. She was struck by a rattler at 8 weeks old, and has fully recovered. Ive heard alot of good things about this cross so far.

GULLETT'S OAKWOODS REDMAN(DIAMOND X GUN) On his first hang up. I think he is doing great for 5 months old. The other pup is 10 mon off(Lucy X Cain).

( Jim Fry) I hope you are reading this..We my good friend David Lloyd who has been helping me with my hounds took Tae Bo a nt ch female and Pistol Pete 5 months 17 days old pup never worked with cage coon or drag. Made 1st drop the female went 1/2 mile in swamp around side of lake and started track..Pup with her all the way never barking behind or anything soon started opening with her a little..Bo being Bo went left 300 yards and treed a coon. Took him off tree and led him back towards the others and turned him back loose. They treed that coon and as we walked in the pup started treeing. Next drop they went 300 yards and hit a hot track and the pup might have struck 1st...They slamed that tree after a short track and the pup treed over a hundred barks a minute till we arrived and had that coon..Boy if that don't get this old man pumped. Pup was one of the 1st bred to Gun after the world hunt the mother is Gr Nt Ch Hardtime Miss Kitty a Swamp Cat female Thanks Jim.............Larry
