We really don't have them thing's around here to speak of. We did get some skelter bug keep'um off'n ya spray for when we travel though.

For quite a way's from here everything is pretty much class A trout stream's with the exception of a few farm pond's. The one in our yard is spring fed & I can count on my right hand the number of time's I been bit in the yard. Throw in a healthy bat population for added pest control, ton's of swallow's & the like's & it's pretty safe.

"NOW" we got them dang gum torpedo landin type deer flie's though which I absolutely dispise...............

You don't have the red dog anymore, so he'll keep his tape measure away! Its to hot anyway.

That would kinda stank havin to work all them saturday's but I reckon it's a rung on the latter. A step here & a step there & it will get better.

"GOOD LUCK" to ya if'n ya head out!

Actually pretty nice here so far. Got a good stiff breeze a blowin & minimal humidity. Hopin the cave will be pretty much dry again after today so I can put thing's back & do the annual once a summer couple day dustin & cobweb collectin gig so the spider's can rebuild in the back of the marble & wood collection.

Might be some plastic in there to??

Real good but I have never used them but should on the outside model's. I do the squeeze it down their spine thing will pretty good success. I'm alway's worried 'bout the pup's chewin on the wrong thing & there's 'nuff of them lil scoudrel's runnin around here.

Got beat by a blue dog!!! Ha ha.... It was a great cast, with 4 good dogs and good houndsman. I really enjoyed myself, just decided to go to the hunt last minute so my dog wasn't quite used to more than one or two drops a night when it's warm. Oh well, I'm still learning and I'm still having fun doing it.

That goes the same for me, pleasure or competition hunting, it doesn't matter to me. It was an enjoyable hunt for me, and that's all that matters. Thanks for putting us into coon so that my dog didn't look too bad...

Well Brandon glad you had a good time either way which it sound's as if you did..

You can only compete against what is there & it all start's with the other three dawg's in cast. Win or lose, as long as it was honest, enjoyable & memorable that is the main thing. There is alway's one next weekend somewhere.

Jake, sound's like ya'll got another nice addition to your collection!

yeah we'll see how it goes as my journey as a competition hunter, wow just typing that made me chuckle...

For now I just like to go hunting, I don't know if a dog will ever win with me as a handler, prolly not unless I owned a world beater. I'll just keep taking him to the woods and having fun and see what happens. Had a lot of fun last night, watched a 4 mo old red dog run the track with Edge. Ran it about 1/2 a mile, sure did put a smile on my face...

Sometime's the handler need's more learnin than the dawg when it come's to them night time entry fee payin adventure's. Majority of us have been thru it though.

A reddawg runnin at 4 month's? "NO WAY".....LOL!!

Check Out This Fossil!

Hey Russ,

I know this is Patch's thread, but here are some pics of the Rascal female I was talking bout. She's directly off of GRNITCH 'PR' Blue Sea Buckwheat X 'PR' Gosnell's Blue Suzie. Buckwheat then goes back to Spanky, Luke and Toad and Suzie has the old Raynor's and Hack & Rodger's blood. Junkyard stuff is in there too.

"THE SICKNESS"

After cuttin "Patch" loose last night for the first time since his diagnosis of lymes disease with his dad da "Bum" & sister "Moe" all I can say is holly $h!T what a difference !

He was posessed before now he's off the chart's crazy like posessed!!

If your hound is just not up to their normal self don't drag your feet 'bout gettin them tested for the disease's them tick's can hand out.

"PERFORMANCE SIRE"

We have paid the fee's & now waitin on the DNA result's. Looking forward to makin a couple cross' with him & our female's for our own use. He is a vigin yet because I want to keep his head in the game.

After the big "Dance" he can be available if anyone is interested in utilizing him. Not in it to have 1,000 pup's on the ground or concerned with havin enough to get on the "List". Am in it to better the breed first & formost alway's.

We like him more & more every time he sink's in the darkness...........

Danny, He started gettin lame in one leg or the other since the melt. Then he acted like he hurt his back in front of his pelvis & we had'ta pick him up to get him in the box. Kept giving him timeout's to heal & after 'bout three day's he'd be fine.

Took him to our zone hunt & Dan hunted him both night's gettin a 3rd on friday & a coonless cast on saturday. He was a mess & we really wanted to show him but would not have been fair to what he really is.

When we got back I took him to the doc cuz I figured it had to be more than just woundin himself. He did a test where they put blood in this lil contraption & it test's for heart worm's,lyme's & everything in between. Two day's later he was a different dog & now I am amazed at the difference in him all the way around.

My first time dealin with it & probably won't be the last? Amazing what a lil flippin bury their head in hide bug can cause !
