This is Deacon and one of four coons we treed last night. Three on the outside and one den tree. There were two males and one female when we shot this one out and not a single growl was heard. I love this part of the dog.We had a good night but coons were running far. Glad we had a Ranger Polaris to keep up with them.

Bill, Rex, and Mike did you guys get together for a hunt or what ? Spent the afternoon outside working in flower beds, fixed some fence, filled in the potholes in driveway, then decided to clean out the inside of my truck. Enjoy now cause cold is coming end of the week. Linda

I talked to two different guys today, they aint treein' a lot of coons either. Gonna wait for moon to go out,and still don't expect a whole lot. After sunday we only got 30 days left.

Posted by Mike Milam on 01-10-2012 12:43 PM:

Morning guys. It is 28 degrees here. Went hunting last night. Accurate report. Turned Deacon loose he struck within five minutes and was running the track come on a tree hard and went on. Went in there about 489 yards and treed. We drove around to him within 45 yards. Got to the tree and it was slick. Loaded him up in the Rhino and headed for another patch. Turned loose and Deacon struck in just a few minutes. Took the track in about 300 yards and let out two long bawls and rolled it over to a chop. Walked in there and looked up and there sat the coon. Shot him out and made a drag for Jason Pup. Turned the pup loose and she ended up treeing the coon. After that called it a night. That moon was full and bright and clear. End of accurate report. Looks like rain tonight.
