Hopefully she stuck. Boone has some tuff shoes to fill with the way those Moose and Wendy pups are turning out. Maybe someday they will be good enough to have there own "Boone and Wendy pup" thread on the board.

Jared, tell your Dad that my little female pup is now a Nt Ch and the price has gone up to $8,000 and Wendy's reproduction rate is now 10%. Just imagine what the Boone X Wendy litter will boost her rate up to.

Well, Wendy is definately bred. The Vet said that she will have 8 pups. There are only 4 more weeks to wait.
How is Boone? Did you take him to the Vet?

Yes Richard, I took Boone to the Vet today and found out that he has a case of pneumonia. We sent five tubes of blood away to two different universities to try to figure out why the heck a dog would have pneumonia in the middle of summer. For now he is back on doxy and we will be awaiting results in the next couple of days. We will have to wait and see if he will be be ready for Nationals. I may be looking for a dog to hunt if you know where I can find one .

The bloodwork looks good. He does have pnumonia and is being treated for it. The vet said to lay him up a little for a couple of weeks to make sure he is gonna recover to 100%. He then should be ready to go. He has been laid up for a week and is starting to go stir crazy already. Oh well it's really hot here and I guess this will give me a chance to work on the pup for a bit.

Load him up on antibiotics and he should be ready to go by the 4th of July. Hunting him will help him to get all of that crap coughed up out of his lungs. Vets don't know just how tuff these coonhounds are.
How are the pups out of his first litter doing..Boone X Toadie? How old are they now? Is he going to be over his pneumonia in time to breed his half sister, Chick?

I have super reports from all the pups from the Boone and Toadie cross. They are only 13 months old right now. I haven't heard about a "dud " in the whole litter. From what I have been told all of the pups from the litter hunt really good and are not afraid of the dark. They seem to have great tracking ability and get struck quick type dogs. Most of them I have heard about seem to be independant. I have actually entered mine in one UKC hunt and Keith entered his male in a UKC hunt the the other night. George Stefes called and said his female is also doing great in northern Indiana. Im happy to hear of all theses reports. I guess it means we are off to a good start.

All of the pups from the Boone and Gate cross are spoken for but 1 female. So if someone is interested let me know as soon as possible. We have all the papers in hand and the pups should be ready to go in about two weeks. They are now starting to eat puppy food. So it shouldn't be long.

Bobby Steven's Annie female only had 3 pups. She had 2 females and 1 male. They are two weeks old and all healthy. There is 1 male and 1 female spoken for right now. So there may be 1 female available.

There is only 2-3 weeks before Wendy has her pups...16-23 days.

Don, there isn't a list. I don't like to count my chickens before they are hatched. I will probably keep a bunch of them myself and unless she has a giant litter, they will be 12-16 weeks old before I sell any. But, I do owe you a pup.

A little info on Pebble for anyone interested in a pup. Pebble has 2 wins toward GRNTCH, her first win being 925+ and her second win being 137.5 +. On her road to NTCH, Pebble racked up a 1st, a 3rd, three 2nds, two 4ths and two 5ths.

She is a hard, slobber mouth tree dog, first or second strike, likes to get by herself when she can. Throws a lot of drive and independence into her pups (that I've seen so far).

Other then that, she's a pleasure to hunt and one of my personal favorite females of all time Boone will make beautiful pups with her for sure.

I'm sure excited about the Boone and Pebble cross. It was good to see ya Cory this weekend. It was great to talking with everyone this weekend. I had a great time and weather was great.

I wasn't able to hunt Boone this weekend due to vet orders, but did enter him in the field trial on trial on Friday for a little exercise. He did well considering this was the second time I have ever entered him in one. He picked up line and tree on the heat, then picked up final line the last heat.

I did hunt my Boone and Toadie pup in the pup class on Thursday. I was pleased with her and had a great cast of pups. Probably the some of the best young redbones I have been with. She did well considering I really have only pushed her for about a week or so.

Congrats to all the cast winners. I had wonderful cast every night with a great group of guys. It makes it worth the trip.
