GrNtCh Ch PR Uchtman's Blue Logan

Logan has a big smile on his face this week. I got him bred to my Dixie gyp last week and got him bred to Dual Grand Vinings Hammerhead this afternoon. Hopefully he will be bred to PR Frost Hollow Blue Belle again as well. The Logan x Belle cross is a proven cross. Talked to another guy today wanting to breed and think he talked to Scott about her as well. She is out of NtCh GrCh Drips Southern Blue Duece. Should be a nice cross as well with lots of old Uchtman breeding. Glad ole Logan is getting put on some nice gyps.

LOGAN X Hammerhead

Got Hammerhead bred again yesterday. Should be a great cross. Talked to Rick and he is planning on breeding Belle to Logan again.
That is a proven cross. Cotton is from that cross and I know of two NtCh's from the first cross that was made. Some nice crosses being made on Logan. Hope a few more nice gyps get bred to LOGAN while he is here in Alabama. Darren

My little Cotton female from Logan and Belle continues to impress me. Hunting her a lot alone again and she will kick on in there and get a coon treed. Really starting to handle some of these old bad tracks well. Gotta hit a couple hunts and finish her. She has two first place wins. Excited about the crosses being make on Logan. Hammerhead is headed back to Scott's in a week or so. Hopefully with a belly full of LOGAN pups. Darren

Hope we got her bred Darren. Rick called me about another potential cross with a well bred female. Looks like ol' Logan is getting a work out with the ladies.
Slim will be heading north also next week. I will be hunting a couple of young dogs with my Creek female and Slim this winter and into the spring.

Scott I talked to two different guys about breeding to Logan. The first is a nice hard treeing gyp out of NtChGrCh pr Drips So. Blue Duece x a Sandberg Bock bred gyp. The other is a guy in Mississippi with a GrNtCh Big Time Albert x Smokey River gyp. Scott I think he is smiling at me when I look at him!!! Darren

Things starting to calm down around my kennels now. Had 5 gyps in heat at the same time!! Male dogs lost their mind. Logan got his chance and took care of business. Hopefully a few weeks from now we will have a couple litters on the ground!!! Darren

Hammerhead will be back up here this weekend along with Slim.

Been getting some real good pup reports on the Logan X Cami litter that was born in March. Sure glad I made that cross again.

Just let me know Rob and we will cut one loose. Been hunting a couple young dogs. Got one complete loner at 13mths old. He is always alone. If I can get him hooked more often he will be heck on wheels!! Just give me a call. Darren

Rob your pup should be ready to roll when you get him. I gave him a liitle fur the other night. All he needs is a ride to the woods.
Been getting really good reports on this litter so far.

Darren-Cottons looking good and a nice coon.

Been hunting my Creek female alone and having alot of fun doing it. She has surely worked her way into my heart in a short period of time.

Looks like Belle is coming in heat now. I will make arrangements to get her from Mr. Terry Tibbs. She will be bred to Logan. This is a proven cross. I know there are at least 3 NtCh's and several more with wins. Cotton is from this cross and I see good things from her. I will be keeping a male from this cross myself. OLE LOGAN is staying busy down here in Alabama. He is rolling like the TIDE!! Darren

Darren,
Thanks for helping out with getting Logan bred to Hammer Head. Looks like I got the Fall and Winter crew back home and settled in. Banjo, Hammerhead, Creek and Slim. Logan and Heather are down in Alabama. Just gave the whole crew Frontline and wormer and should be set for awhile. I will be hunting two started dogs this fall and winter. I have not done that for a couple of years but am looking forward to it.

No problem Scott. I am enjoying having Logan down here at Southern Bluetick Kennels. He is a big ole baby that always wants attention. I just done the same as you and got houses winterized and full of hay. Gone get Belle this week so Logan will be happy again!!! Let me know if I can help in any way. Darren

LOGAN

Hunted with a LOGAN X CAMI pup last night. He is 6 mths old I think. He is a big, good looking pup. Turned a coon loose on him and my young dog. Coon hit the cutover and pups did best they could with him. We finally put some dog power in there and got him out of the cutover and up a tree. Pup treed good on drag and hangup. Definitely interested. Cotton looked good last night on next drop. Got deep and got treed up two huge red oaks. Couldn't find her coon but it was almost impossible to see the trees. Got another good report from Micheal Bowling on Blitz. He is a mate to Cotton and Micheal says he is doing a good job for him. Glad Micheal is hunting him hard and making a dog out of him. Darren

Logan pups

Been getting some good reports on the Logan and Heather cross from a year ago and some good reports on the Logan and Cami cross from last March. Hope to have some more Logan pups on the ground next month. Darren Hollis will be having a litter down in Alabama and I should be getting a litter right around Christmas.
