Made a drop with ole Splitter tonight. He surprised me the way he went across a slough tonight. Ran a track and made a tree. Didn't see anything, don't think he even had him. I will be glad when it cools down and these reptiles are gone!

I hunted Pepper with a young(3rd night in woods) female tonight. She made three trees and I saws two coons. The young dog treed the best on the tree where we couldn't find the soon.

Thanks Nathan. I have high hopes for the Pepper litter. I like this female. She has been looking good. She is starting to show already. I think it is about time to put her up and let her rest while I hunt some of these other young dogs. I've hunted her with some of my younger dogs. I guess I will have to single them out a little.

I took 3 quick pictures and put the camera back in case. After getting in the truck I got it out and turned it on to find those 3 pictures. I was surprised that I liked all three. Usually I delete half or more of them.

I have noticed that his chewing has slowed down a little. I'm hoping the more he gets hunted and back in shape the less he will chew. He seems to be out of shape. Seems to be overheated when I pull him off of the tree. Come on cool weather!!!

If you THINK you can handle a Splitter pup and you are thinking of TRYING to handle one now would be the time to save your money. We should have our 2 litters ready to go by December 18th. They could be picked up 2 weekends before Christmas or delivered to the Grand American in Orangeburg, SC. Both are nice females. One(Dee) has been to town, and the other(Pepper) is just starting to town. Just starting and already holding a first. Pepper has the better mouth(every good and better than most). She is also more accurate with a bawl on the ground. But, she will still tree an occasional possum. Dee is just about all chop with a good mouth. It is also above average. But not nearly as good as Pepper.

Also, should be breeding a female out of Cane soon...

Oh as for as the rattlers I killed another one wed on the road. It wasn't as long but was fatter.

If things work as planned and the Cane female has pups we can get them to SE Treeing Walker Days "IF we has a minimum of two pups booked to be delivered".

JJust got off the phone with a nice gentleman that owns a 1q0GrNt month old pup out of Splitter. He was telling me that the pup hasn't been hunted 20 times yet. But, the pup is doing a real good job with other dogs. Only thing is the pup trees real hard until you get to the tree. Then he'll meet you and then doesn't tree as hard as he did before you get to the tree.
