Had another good night tonight.

Got out to the Hog Farm tonight and Andy was there so we set Duke and Jack loose. They got to it quickly.

Duke struck in first but Jack beat him to the tree. =)

We got there and shined for a bit and sure enough Jack had the meat. Couldn't have been prouder to get first tree on old Duke.

Had a new friend out with me tonight as well. Daniel is a guy I work with and he had a blast. He's already looking to get a set of chaps and a light. Always good to have another guy out in the timber.

I am wondering how are Jack and Jenny bred. I apologies for my ignorance but don't know a thing about redbones I went to Carthridge Tn, yesterday looked at a litter of pups a nice guy has named Mike James he has some nice looking hounds was telling me he has bred them for 32 years, I just ant decide if I want to try one or not this post has really got me interested in them. Mike's dogs have a lot of Timber chopper in them he was telling me that he is finally satisfied with the pups he is getting out of his dogs, he has them starting young and are fast, Unfourtanatly Mike hasn't been able to hunt in 2 years due to health but he sure has some fine looking hounds. I am thinking about getting a female from him. Keep em rolling and good luck.

Thanks for the compliments Hotshot630.

The man who bred these dogs is Larry Stringer and he actually works out in East Tennessee. He's a one heck of a guy, and a straight shooter if there ever was one.

I'll get on here later today and get his pedigree put on here for ya.

I'd greatly appreciate some pictures or videos of Pepper doin' her thing. I've actually never seen her, or pictures of her. That is just about the only thing I am lacking to have the whole picture on Jack and his bloodline.

If you ever get towards Fort Campbell, Ky feel free to come on by and we'll throw some dogs out.

I didn't list the fourth generation. But Jack has three shots of Machine Gun Jack in his fourth generation. So if you get to askin' folks about more known dogs Machine Gun Jack would be one to throw out there in conversation.

Of course he along with grntch Billy the Kid go back to grntch Timber Chopper so there's a good bit of that blood in there to. Think old grntch Jabo has some grntch Littleman and grntch Fireball in there too didn't he, thru grntch Greene's Hillbilly Brandy.

Yes Jabo did. But it doesn't show up on Jack's pedigree.

Ray, thanks alot for the video of pepper. i was very fortunate that Mr. Nunnley allowed me to breed her to Jabo. there seems to be pups out of every cross that show good signs of progress. but that cross has shown out pretty good so far. and this is my Jenny's breeding and i like her alooot. LOL. thanks again friend. tell april and the baby i said hi. and stay in touch. LWS.

I had jo-ann out tonight for the first time since she was in heat. I cut her with Roxy on a creek where the coon are real thick for these parts.

They blew off the leash side and side was runnin the creek about 100yds out when jo-ann yelped out for 1st strike, and Roxy put in right with her. The track ended quick with Roxy locatin and gettin 1st tree, with Jo-ann tryin to tree right behind her.
I started in slow waitin to see what jo-ann would do and she greeted me off the tree and I hissed her back to it, but she followed me back. She treed pretty good at first, but kept wantin to take the track on. She jus wasn't convinced that it was up there, but it was. I tied her to the tree and sit on a log for about 30min, or so and she got to treein better as time passed, but the excitement was when this great big ole coon climbed down a ways and jumped out. The weeds were tall and he got away from Roxy at first until I turned Jo-ann loose and she got on track. They ended up catchin him in the creek, and the fight was on. The coon ended up gettin in behind some tangled up roots on the bank and I was extremely happy he did, cause it could've been real bad. But she got her a taste of a great big coon full of life.
All in all I was real happy with her performance after bein out of action for so long, she done a fine job, and is gonna start bein singled out.
and she is not leashed in these pics. I had to leash her for wantin to leave on track

Jack did a bang up job tonight.

He left off the leash at a run and put the brakes on about 50 yards out. He sounded like a vacuum coming through there. He smelled around and then opened up. He opened up three times and located. He checked himself three more times with a locate each time and then sat down and started to tree. He did a good job treeing too.

Kent, looks as if your putting the treatment on Mr. Jack. thanks for the videos and sorry i missed your call. guess where i was. LOL. I took Pounchen camp Jewel out last night. HILLBILLY JABO X POUNCHEN CAMP DAISY. and she stayed with Jenny allnight, second drop over a 1000 yrds in and Jewel was at the tree. got on the tree some. not bad, third time out. keep Jack rolling and i'll see you two down the line.
