Good morning folks,

I just wanted to share a little bit of last night's hunt with you all. We made 2 drops, looked at 3 trees and saw 5 coons. Not too shabby. I was hunting with my good friend who has a nice redbone. I hunted Clyde and one of my other older hounds, Blaze (Grandpup of Nitro and yadkin river Cruise). Blaze is a nice hound, fast track dog and a hard tree dog. Most of the time he's a 1st or 2nd strike dog and a 1st tree dog. On the first drop, Clyde and Blaze dropped off in the river and Clyde struck first with blaze in second, they ran about 100 yards, crossed the river and Clyde rolled up on the tree with three big dying locates. Clyde and Blaze were treed while the red dog got another track going and ran it up a hollow and treed in a pine. Clyde and Blaze had 2 coons up their tree but we couldn't see anything up the red dog's tree. The tree was out over the river bank and Clyde had inched his way out on this log and was hanging on!

On the next drop, Clyde struck first, rolled off in the river and SCORCHED a track down the river. He was way out ahead by himself. My other dog Blaze tried to tree right below us but finally pulled and picked up Clyde's track and ran it about 200 yards behind him. The red dog also tried to tree right below us but finally caught up with the two white dogs. Clyde ran the track down the river and made a half circle back towards us and met Blaze. Blaze treed and then Clyde treed. I have never seen Clyde run a track that fast! It was impressive. They had three coons in that tree. We had a great night and best of all, we were back by 10:30! Clyde was first and first on the first drop and first and second on the second drop. I can't wait to get a few coons out to him! He's only had two in his mouth that I know of. I thought I would change it up a bit so I attached a video of him treeing. The hard tree dog in the background is blaze. Clyde's on the tree along with the red dog. Sorry for the video being sideways- but i'm sure yall get the idea

Thanks for the kind words! I went Monday night and I snapped a few pictures. I went with two of my buddies that have really nice redbones. Clyde looked good! That Spare Change cross was killer! If it ever happens again count me in!

Dropped the hounds last night and had a bear race! I don't know how many bean dogs are being pushed on bear but i'm here to tell you that mine was flat screaming and burning this one up! They ran him about a mile and a half. Made a second drop and they treed in a white oak but we couldn't see anything because it was just too thick. I guess that's the way it goes some nights. The moon was sure was bright! Bean power!
