I've been snookered, by a Kentuckion, is that what your trying to say??? Wait till I show this to Rick, whom sent it to me!!! I was about afraid for me and my Dog's to ever hunt in Kentucky again, after seeing that big thing....now i'm debating, if i'm going to hunt in Georgia, LOL!!

Enough for now about them snakes. It's about 1:15 am--just got in from a hunt. Had a dog split tree for the first time and have the meat. That big old moon had gotten up pretty good so I was glad the Coon looked. I have got a big good looking male here that just might make a dog.This hunting season that just came in is going to be the decideing factor. We plan to put a little fur in his mouth. Mine do not get many knocked out to them, When I was a kid-we knocked out every one we treed. If we said we treed four- they had better be laying in the bed of the truck. Expecting a crowd here tonight to go knock one ot two out and I hope everyone shows up that has called and I'm going to try to get pictures of the people and the Blue Dogs. Stay tuned!

My Harley buddy, and former boss, killed a big one last week, to put in the smoker....He counted 28, just on his deer cam....Anybody is more than welcome to come shoot those things. Gators,Snakes, Hogs and Deer---only thing tougher on the Coon down here is these Blue Dawgs. Here is a picture of Big Boy treed-taken by my youngest son Ridge, with his cell phone.

Hunting Party Sighted

This was the group shot from Saturday night minus one-Ricky Herrington joined us a little later. Casey Poole has Jake. The other two dogs are May Flower and Reject. We treed a couple but frankly did not have the kind of hunt we have had there in the past. So we will do again until we get it right. Michael, Ben, Bobby and Joel Carter--all these Carter's are squirrel hunters and hunters period. We are going again tonight. Casey is a most welcome addition around here.

21 days

Feels more like 121 days, when my little Blue Buddy, Blues is locked up in the heat pen!!!!! Ugh, I Hate it when I can't hear my little Blues go. Although I can't call her little, I don't guess, since she weighed 82 lbs at the vets office today, LOL!! The Vet said she looked nice and healthy! I took Blade to his second UKC hunt saturday, (wearing my coon hunt with Bluetick hat) and the big dummy got second place. He only needs a 1st and 3rd now, LOL!!! Hopefully this broke my bad luck streak, now I just need Blues out of Jail to see....CW keep them pictures coming, I enjoy looking. Makes me want to take an extra day off on the weekend and head down that way....TTYL, Besafe Y-all!!!!

No Camera

Just got back-left the camera on the desk right beside this computer-had got it out and put it here so I would not forget it. Well I forgot it. Bobby Carter and I drove way back into a real gamey place. We let May Flower, Reject and Blue (littermate to Reject) out and a minute later they are screaming on a very hot track-like they are looking at it. In a very short time they have covered some distance and slam a tree. As Bobby and I start towards the tree-we both agree that the dogs are very excited about this tree. We walk into a big leaning tree-that actually looks like two trees grown together. I'm thinking the coon made it home but that is not the case at all. Soon as my light reaches the first fork-there sets the BEAR-nice shiny and very Black. This is the second time for me treeing one down there. Would have absolutely been a perfect picture but I left the camera here. Maybe next time! It's hard to get good help--aint it.

Bobby thanks for the PM-I have made the call & left a message. Eric-you are the photographer-take that day off and come take some good pictures of these dogs. James is another one that has posted some classic pics on here-I have told all of you-I'm the weakest link in this chain. Had a good conversation with Joe Vogatsky. Joe is making things happen now and he is planning for the future--it is hard to achieve a goal if you don't make one! Set your sights and aim high. David Gardin and the NC crew have got 3 or 4 of these 6 Again dogs over there and I know for a fact they will not feed or keep em if they can't cut the mustard .I just fooled with some pups and they are still raisin cain while I'm posting this and you know -all that barking ain't bothering me a bit. We have got some rain and more is on the way - just going to make things better, better, better!

hello CW i see this finds u well. talked to jeff timms minute ago guess were goin to eds nov 4th wow thats the ultimate vacation 4 me!!! this will be the 3rd trip this year to mich. i really enjoy itthink im takin ayng grand puppy and ole penny. will let buzz rest up for alotta hide huntin. he still has some me too issues think im gonna cotton his ears up lol. his pups dont like to tree w others to well. were gettin alotta rain so huntin will be good ill be down for a few days as i gashed my leg on a trailer sun nite 10 stiches bout 1 inch below my boot line tried this mornin but hurts to wear a boot be back in by the weekend though!!!! good luck and great huntin!!!

Jr treed tonight, shot one out he shock it like a rag doll then got back onto the tree and started treeing again. the coons laying on the ground behind him. Now thats what I call a treedog.

Capture Memories

James-I'm trying to do a lot better job when it comes to dragin that camera along on these hunts-one of these days all any of us will have are memories and these pictures. Recently got hold of a picture of my hunting buddy Wayne Jones and I taken at his Mother's kitchen table after we came in around daylight. It says the photo was developed in 68. Odds are it was taken Fall of 67. We began hunting together Fall of 64 I think and that is starting to sound like a little while ago- even to us. My point is I'm glad we have that picture to talk about those old times and if you take them now you will be glad one day too!
