I know! When you say 'Fruit cake' people think of those dry bought things you see everywhere. This is a whole different thing. I love em! The cut layer cake is a Japanese Fruit cake -- my personal favorite of cakes.

Skin it and make a hat. Then boil it till it falls off the bones, drill holes and make a necklace out of the bones, Feed rest to dogs.

I have eaten coon and it was good but I much prefer beef steak! I don't have a recipe for coon.

LOVE THE HISTORY BLUEDOGMAN,

GEORGIA AND VIRGINIA, ARE LOADED WITH CONFEDERATE HISTORY. ITS LIKE THE STATUE[CONFEDERATE SOLDIER] IN OUR COURTHOUSE YARD SAYS '' THERE IS NO MORE HALLOWED GROUND, THAN WHERE DEFEATED VALOR LIES.'' THIS IS SO VERY TRUE ABOUT OUR SOLDIERS IN THE CONFEDERACY. GOD BLESS ALL THE SOLDIERS FROM EVERY STATE IN THE SOUTH THAT ROSE UP TO DEFEND OUR HOMELAND. GOD BLESS YALL.

REB WELL PUT. THE MONACACY RIVER ON THE MARKER IS ABOUT AN HOUR AND HALF FROM HERE. EAST OF FEDERICK MD. I ALWAYS WONDER WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF AFTER THE MONACACY BATTLE THE CSA WOULD HAVE MARCHED INTO WASHINGTON.

LOVE THE CIVIL WAR HISTORY KEEP IT COMING.

WE WERE ON A ROLL!!

PEOPLE FORGET THAT UP TO LATE 1863, THE SOUTH WAS ON A ROLL, WINNIN THE MAJORITY OF THE BATTLES. AND THERE WERE SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE WAR THAT WE COULD HAVE TOOK WASHINGTON. THE BATTLE OF MANASSAS [FIRST ONE ]WAS ONE OF THOSE BATTLES,[WE GOT COCKY AND DIDNT THINK CLEARLY]. ANYWAY, IT IS INTERESTIN TO TALK ABOUT. THANKS RMCMILLAN, I AGREE WITH YOU TOTALLY. GOD BLESS YALL ALL.

I SURE HOPE SOME OTHERS CHIME IN THIS WOULD BE SOME INTERESTING DISCUSSION.

Think about a mosque at Ground Zero to get my drift. What if the Citadel wanted to move its history department to Fort Sumter. (For those of you who don't know history, after federal warships blockaded Charleston, some Citadel cadets fired cannon on Fort Sumter, which STARTED THE WAR.)
The ultimate kick in the fanny would be like what they did to Robert E. Lee's plantation, Arlington.
Instead of a little memorial for the Twin Towers victims, maybe ground zero could be a cemetary for American soldier casualties (Iraq and Afghanistan) War on Terror.

I GUESS THEY THINK IT SOUNDS FANCY TO THEM I RECKON. HARD TO DO THOUGH. GOD BLESS YALL ALL.

I can see this but i also watch alot of hunting shows and the southerners say a-kerns it's not akerns it's a aCORNS. you don't call corn, kern do ya,or maybe they do down south
