Hope your back gets better soon, I had surgery on mine in November and I am still not recovered completely, been told it takes about a year to fully recover. I sure as heck makes for a miserable hunt when your back is all out of whack!

Well we got no where yesterday there sending me to another Hostipal somewhere Im not sure waiting on my Doctor to call me back you know what Im talking about with back trouble my wife had major back surgery 4 yrs. ago & she just told me she wishs she would have not had it done with all the pain shes still in.Been sleeping in a chair for about 4+ yrs. now.O well surely things will get better soon.

Your pup still acting good ?

I will for sure come see you when I come back up there.. I spoke with joe a few days ago and was wondering if you made that OUTSTANDING cross he Mentioned??? I dont want to post the names on the cross but my blood pressure kinda went up a little when he mentioned it... I hope you got it done, and man if you did I want one BAD! Keep up the good work

P.S I heard there were some more coming in from a different state that will be a real asset also... Im glad that its moving in a good direction, Those will be some good one's as well!

Dave I have been praying for the youing man you made the post about having Heart trouble we sure hope he gets well so sad to see a kid like this going threw these troubles in his life we just pray that God well heal him & Bless him with a normal life.

My back is still giving me fits, can't work but about 2 to 3 hrs a day. Then I hurt for about 8 hrs. The good side is my legs don't hurt so I can walk (and hunt some) just not those 4 to 8 hr hunts like in the past. Good luck! if there is such a thing when you got a bad back!

Sure hope u get back on your feet soon.

My wife just told me if she would have knew the pain she would stay in after surgey she would have never had her Back worked on,I told now is a goodtime to be telling me this when im about ready to get something done with me because I cannot stand over 5 mins. until Im looking for a place to set down.Now when I drive my right leg hurts so bad I just soon stay home as leave the house.

Im sure your in ruff country where u are hunting or I would think so.

Also the Doctor said they had put as big a screw in her as the Bone would hold plus a big plate.

I have two big screws and a plate plus the Dr. took a bone graft from my hip to make a fusion in the spinal vertebra. I have used shorter screws fastening down metal roofing than I have in my back. Wicked looking suckers. And yes we have some rough country here. North part of the county is mountains and we have plenty of clearcuts that one can stay lost in for days. Pine thickets out of this world. Little river bottoms full of huge hardwoods and sloughs.

pawoodrum,theres a guy that gets on here a little that lives in SC he told me to be sure & not let them go to my Hip & get what they need he said it would be best to have a donor he said it was very painfull letting them get a piece of your Hip.

Y'all have plenty of coons where your at ? I would like to make a trip to OK some of these days before I leave this world & see the country.

we are not as blessed with coon as you folks up in North Central USA but we do have a pretty good supply of them. Last Saturday night a friend and I made four (4) turn outs made four trees in real short order and looked at two (2) 1 den and a legit circle tree. I had Choy and he was hunting a 1 1/2 yr old English female, that is real nice. We never got a half a mile from the truck. We were back to the truck in about an hour and forty-five minutes. You want to come down and go for a hunt, you will be welcome anytime. I don't advise July or August unless you "love" hot and humid weather. LOL.

pawoodrum,I might just take u up on that sometime later on if all goes well would like to see the BIG STATE OF OK !!!!! & do a little hunting while im there if your ever up my way your welcome to come for a hunt anytime be glad to have u.

We are starting to get more coons not many hunting them with the way things are most dont have the extra money to be out playing around with a dog.

Im from one of the hardest hunted areas in the state as a rule lots of top hounds come from 50-60 miles around me here countless WlD.CH. but like I say there not pounding the ground everynight like they have in yrs. past they had paths going into the woods everywhere u went hunting when i was well I would drive about 65-75 miles North to our familys farms where they had over 3000 + of ground to hunt lots of coons up North of me.

Sounds like July & Aug. are hot like it is here rite now its hard to run very many tracks with the Sows being bred there just not down Im sure its that way about everywhere they just layup I went tonight with a young man we got treed every drop but the tracks were tuff & didnt really go that far things will open up here after they have there Kits & they start coming out of there dens we seen one coon tonight bet it was a Boar.

Tracks are about like you described here too and yes the economy has really hurt coon hunters around here. Back in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's it wasn't hard to put 30 - 35 dogs in the woods at a club hunt and 45- 50 dogs in the Nite Hunts locally. Our club hosted the Okla. Federation of C. H. Winter Classic two or three years and we had over 150 dogs per nite in this two nite event. The bench show was huge also with somewhere around 40 dogs each year. I remember the RQE's being so big that just because you won you cast, you had no guarantee that you would place, each one I hunted in or judged had from 15 to 25 casts of dogs. Four more years of the current administration and we may have to get govt. subsidies to feed our hounds LOL. Anyway, I might take you up on your offer and you are welcome here anytime. Matter of fact, there area I live in is a vacation paradise with Broken Bow Lake, Pine Creek Lake and Hugo Lake. All have fantastic fishing and BB Lake is one of the prettiest lakes in the USA.

Hello,our Nt. Hunts are way down also around here I can remember 35 yrs. ago u were lucky to find a place tp park at alot of our hunts now 3-4 Reg.Cast 1 NT.CH.Cast maybe 2 alot of changes over the yrs. the money is just not there I can remember hunting the 3 Hr. Hunts back in the day.

Will take it a day at a time I might come out when I get back on my feet good like I was saying Ive always want to hunt in OK would like to go where the movie was filmed Where The Red Fern Grows also.

Come for a hunt its pretty much all flat land here Im sure we could tree a few hope Choy is still doing good !
