Posting for Mike Higginbotham....

This is nitech grwtch Mainstreets American Outlaw Htx5. This dog shows how potent Jack is as a stud. Everybody can produce a hound one generation out, but to have his sons and daughters produce is something else.

Jack will go down in history for his reproducing and Ace will forever be known for his honesty, hard work, and what he has unselfishly done for the English breed! Proud to call him my friend!

His name is JACK. You are right the female plays a huge roll, but Jack is overpowering compared to the average stud. For whatever reason a stud dog comes alone once in a great while that is a foundation stock type reproducer, like Little Joe, Speck, etc.....Jack is one of those dogs, in my opinion. Jack normally/ consistently throws no reverse, independent, stay put treedog's.

He is 9 years old and yes he is in KY here at my house.

Jack

I'd stack Jack against anything past or present as far as numbers go, he has a pretty impressive resume that will continue to grow, there are a lot of pups hitting the ground we will be hearing from. Jack has been hauled all over and no matter the terrain he will tree them Ricky's. There was a lot of selective breeding done by several good men to get to Jack, I won't list them as I don't want to leave someone out. I've hunted with Jack on a few occasions, and he is not for the weak of heart, don't turn him loose, if you don't plan on going where ever his heart leads him, as he has a lot of it. I've hunted with several offspring off Jack, and they have a lot of the same characteristics, Drive and Independence is what sticks out the most. In the last 3 yrs I've started 2 different off spring and 1 Grand pup out of Jack. 1st one being Dual Grand, PKC CH Boo, started like a house of fire, came within 50 points of winning English days 3 yrs ago I believe. Next was NTCH LJ, which won Invitational champion at English days the following yr, and last but not least is 2014 English days winner NTCH Oakwoods Thunder, out of Top Gun & Mainstreet Ruby.... Which Asa is currently hunting. I like him really well, he is still young and dumb, but he has his moments. I currently have another one out of Jack called Dixie that is progressing well, that hopefully I will have in Asa's hands next yr, but I'm thinking he will be running Thunder for awhile longer if all goes well. I owned a full sister to Jacks mother called Oakwoods Holly, I loved that female as much or more than anything I've ever turned loose. I waited for Stanley to make that cross for 2 yrs before Holly came along, and Stanley will tell you I got the prettiest one of the bunch. Mighty Molly (Holly's mother) and Stanley won all over in different states, I just had that Gut feeling that Molly and Spike would make an outstanding cross, and as time went, it proved to be true. Dang near all of the litter mates out of this cross that was made twice made champions in both UKC & PKC. When Asa got Jack as a pup, and I started hearing what he was doing, there was no reason for him not to produce, and as time goes by, we continue to see he has proven he will do his part in the stud pen. Didn't mean to be long winded, but that's my 2 cents worth....

jack pups

i have hunted with several of jacks pups from different females and owned what i consider the most accurate dog i ever let loose (radar)like jack don't cut him if you don't want to go get him i was around when speck, little joe, junior and a lot of other good dog's were being studded and people talked them down also so there will be critic's no matter which dog we talk about having said that the man that has the go yonder female i will pay the stud fee for two pup's and i quit hunting a few yrs ago, jack is the exceptional stud dog of today,i mean no disrespect to any other dog or owner jusy my opinion,i know asa, shane and travis and i would buy a dog on just there word off the chain that's all who is next??

I dont have main street dog. But when its all said and done. Jack will be up there with some of the best in the breed. As far Asa you cant find a better guy in the sport.

Think Terry has it right..
when jack is dead and gone as long as the other ones named, people will still be talking about jack then also.. and some young whiper snappers will be talking about Asa and what a great guy he is and was ,and what great dogs he had , just like some of us did growing up talking about the other great guys in the sport before us.

no

i was not refering to anybody, but everybody, a long time ago i had what i thought was a pretty descent female,i told a friend i wanted to breed her to spike,he said spike is ugly, long hair and he didn't like him well he talked me out of it,i was the loser for not doing what my heart said to do,if that guy wasn't dead i would kick his butt and then i was to stupid to breed to roy later on don't wait like i did ,breed to what you like and give it your best shot and good luck to all !!!!!!!!!
