Candy did an awesome job last night! I'm in love with this squaw mouth little gyp. she should be just right after a hide season on her to win the hunts next spring.

Took Candy out tonight and didnt get anything done. The coon wasnt moving and I never seen one layed up either. She got on a bad track but never put and end to it. Just a bad night is all I can say.

Eye Candy is a coondog in the making. she is working out tracks the others cant run and getting treed with the meat. she hunts hard with or without company and is action packed. im starting to believe she will be something special some day.

Icon is going to a friends house where he can be hunted alone. he still sore on his leg since the surgery but needs to be out on it getting excersise. im hoping he will gain muscle and good motion back. he is a very nice hound with a big horn on him that loves to tree.

It's just bad luck when a nice young dog has a career ending injury like that Eddie. I hope he will continue to heal up for you to where he can at least be pleasure hunted on a regular basis.

Icon's littermate sister is still going...she is at a flat spot right now, but it is only temporary. This gyp has had the worst luck at getting coon treed where we can get them out to her I have ever seen. Confidence is a major component in a young dog's progression. We are staying vigilant with her because we have seen exactly what this gyp can do, she has flashes of genius and good lord the track speed!

lol that bad luck happened to a male i started 2 years ago. i finally got the stars lined up and he took off. im so glad Gypsy is making you happy and hope she makes a great coondog. gotta love that track speed! when she gets her confidence built up i bet she will be a hard tree dog too.

Crockets pup hunt will be sometime around January 16-17 so make plans to come and have a weekend of fun. i cant wait to see all of those different pups go. we will be staying at the cabins and all food for the weekend will be provided. we have 3 UTV's but if you have one you would like to bring, the more the merry.

got Icon out of the pen to get some exercise on his bad leg and turned out treeing a coon. Larry and Chris came over so we had Icon, Candy, Adam, and Eddie. Icon fell treed first tonight followed by Candy and had the meat. there was no tracking involved on this coon cause it was layed up and we watched the whole thing unfold. Crocket sure puts the heads up winding ability in his pups.

Larry and i took Candy and Plug out tonight. we managed to get one treed before it started raining and lightening, but got soaked going back to the truck.

we took a couple of kids with us last night so i only took Candy and Punkin. Larry brought Plug and we hunted a new ranch. we didnt have a great hunt but the kids had lots of fun. one thing we have learned on these bad hunts is these young dogs have no quit in them. Candy left from the leash at 1am the same as she did at the begining at 10pm. i love their drive and desire!
