Dave your female is a looker. I would be honored to breed any good females to my males.

Danielle I truly believe they will reproduce and that cross we made to get Magic and Roller was a exceptional cross and I can only hope we can get pups on the ground to prove what I already know.
All dogs go back to Scout or Hawk so plenty of good old blood and good hound mouths.

I'd be happy to take you hunting with both my stud dogs anytime.
They both tree layups with good mouths. Just better to show than try to explain how they hunt sound and tree Old Uchtman blood and I like both of them.

Great hunt at the Bunkhouse!

We treed 3 singles and a double and one den
Had a good time. Maggie got to herself and treed a double and that made me very proud!

I had a blast hunting with you and Hank and Gerald Saturday night.

Maggie is a super nice hound and did look really good on that double all by her self. She could eat my feed any time. Plus she is a looker too.

Hey, I will keep my eye out for a sharp knife for you and give you a call when I find one. LOL ( Elmo skinned out all of our coon and needed his knife sharpend really bad. But he sawed through them and got er done ). By the way, where did Hank and Gerald go when the skinnen started??????????

We will have to get together again and go for a hunt.

Anytime you want to go and down towards this way let me know. I can swing over and bring one or two of my males.
I have my sharp knives now so I'm ready to skin a few more.
All dogs did a good job.
Hanks Sugar female is quiet the treedog. I like her as well. I think all dogs got at least one first tree apiece.
That male dog is a nice looking sucker and got a nice mouth on him.
Leggs is a very nice looker in her own rights and a treedog deluxe.

Maggie treed 2 layups and 1 running

Took Lumber along for his first night in the woods he got about 150 yards away at times and wasn't scared of the coons or gunshot

Roler is a littermate brother to Magic. Roler made Gr Nit at 22 months old. Treed his first coon alone at 5-6 months old. I didn't get Magic till he was about 3.5 and hadn't been hunted much. He treed the first night I had him and has been doing it every since. Roler was a layup specialist and had the nose to work the bad tracks as well. Magic trees layup consistently but not as often. The more I cross back into my dogs up close the more layup dogs I have been getting. Also able to keep the nose and the stay put accurate treedog. Most of my dogs are bawl chop on tree nothing fancy but the meat is on the limb. All my dogs have good mouths on them.
Lumber if he turns out looks to have a outstanding mouth on him at 4 months old so we shall see if he makes the grade.
Also most all my dogs are dark blue to medium. Magic was the lightest color dog I have every had. He as performance and I couldn't get the other ones bought. I glad I bought him.

Elmo, Magic is not to light for me. I have had a lot of Med. colored dogs over the years. Lou just happens to be dark. Lou has a real good Bawl mouth on the ground and a nice bawl change and she is an every breath pressure tree dog that is the same with or with out company. I have noticed in your post that you talk a lot about Magic when you are treeing a lot of coon. I like the way the Timber dog in Sounder's ped. is bred too. David

Both dogs tree a lot of coons. I'm alternating dogs each night expect for Maggie. I'm trying to finish her out.
Sounder covers a lot of ground in a hurry and will tree layups and he also is accurate.
He trees mostly around the tree. If he is being bothered he sometimes is a little loose but there. I need to work on that but I don't hunt with mean dogs so hard to correct. By himself he is there. Good mouth and also bawl chop on tree after treed a while he is chop mostly. Not a mean hair on him period.
Come go for a hunt. Where are you located at.

I live in Ohio but I have hunted in Missouri. I believe I saw you and spoke to you at the Fall Round Up but just didn't know you then. I am trying to make a cross on Lou that I like. I always liked the Hawk blood as you do. Lou's Dam is out of Wilburn U. Luke dog. She is 3/4 Uchtman. Right now I really only have one dog on my short list but I am looking at others and I like the Hawk part of your dogs. Thanks for being so kind and answering my questions. Dave

Hunted Maggie and Magic

First drop struck in at 800 yards and ended on a den tree.

Second drop the ole coon took them to the duck perserve so I had to get them before I got in trouble.

Third drop l left Magic on the lead and let Maggie do her thing. At 600 yards she worked a track and at 1000 she treed it was a den. I called it a night.

It sure is fun watch Maggie progress into a nice hound. I even let her ride in the back seat of my truck on the way home. She is the first dog to do that.

I don't think Magic was happy with me for doing that

I will hit it again tonight somewhere.

Ugly night

3 slick trees 2 dens trees and a drain tile.

Good tracks to run but didn't not produce anything on the outside.
We had good dogs that where very accurate but last night I have no idea what the heck happen.
Maggie is normally under coon but last night wow is all I can say and they all treed like they were looking at the meat.

Chalk this up to a really bad night and I don't want to see another one of those anytime soon.

Just walked in the door 3 am

Treed 2 with Jr Franklin and we won biggest coon contest then I took Maggie alone a treed 3 more singles. NO Slick trees no dens. She sure did walk me tonight.
I think she likes riding in the front seat of my truck.
I will hunt again Sunday with Daniel Morton and Lumber will get a chance to learn some new things.

Beat the rain in. Maggie got one to herself tonight. Ole Jack put one up and we treed three dens.
Maggie actually split twice and had a den on the other. By golly I think she has it now. She is sneaky sometimes she opens good with other and when she is off to herself there is nothing but tree time. A dog like this if she continues can win a lot of hunts. Of course providing she can stay under pressure of split treeing. The coon she had got stuck on a fork limb so that sucked but I have video of it climbing out of it's hole and up the tree higher as I sqawl with my mouth. I sure wish I could have let her taste that one. Maggie is very quiet once you get to the tree she is waiting on the thud.
I will hopefully go to the MU game tonight then I will go back to the woods for a drop or two. Ole Sounder and Magic are like WTF. Why can't we go play. I told them this is their future girlfriend and she has to make the grade before she get bred. I will give her a B- but getting better every night.

Treed 3 singles tonight

I hunted with Charlie Wyatt and his brother. He had his young Rambler male and his Gr Nite Jazz female I hunted Maggie
First turn out all dogs stuck and tree in a evergreen we shot and the coon stuck. A faithful friend of Charlies climbed about 20 feet up and got the coon.
Next drop we treed in a elk farm with the meat.
Third drop we just dropped Maggie alone. She went 350 yards are so fell treed and had her coon.

4th drop we turned Rambler loose alone he treed in a hole in the ground then sent him on he treed a den. We called it a night.

Hunted Maggie with Earl Howell and Boomer

We treed two big coons. Maggie exploded on the two trees. Then the bad. Young walker female and Boomer where barking at something the bang we found out what it was. Maggie got over there and go herself in trouble. She has very little on her and Boomer has very little but the female stinks
We was done by 8:30. I should have hunted more tonight but called it a early night. I'm dancing Friday and Saturday so the dogs can rest up for Sunday night.

Hunted alone tonight

I took Maggie. First dump she went in about 7 hundred yards in the wildlife area and didn't strike so she came in. I walked across the road and sent her that way she went in 400 yards no strike so she came in. I loaded her and went down the road about 3 mile and sent her in. She took a long time in the wood and finally got in at 980 yards and treed. It was cold and windy she stayed put till I got there and she had her coon up there sleep. She got rewarded for a fine job done and I came home. I'd say she finally has her big girl pants on for good. She is still mouth alone but in company she opens fine. She got the ride in the front seat again and I think she likes it.
I think I have a good one in the making.
