Yes and thank you for the calls...The cross was made wld nite ch to wld nite ch....good breeding 4/13/2012...And I... have made it to the woods 2 nights in a row. Thank goodness for drugs...Ha going for 3 in a row tonight......Please anyone hearing about Ruby in the finals please let me know a.s.a.p. wish I could be there in support for Asa...He is the best and Ruby is a real hound and unique as well.............Thanks Larry

If I have time maybe we can get Lucky and her brother BJ hunting together.
If you get to feeling better I want to bring Lucky out to you in October.
Lucky is doing great and is going to make a real nice dog.....SHE IS NOT FOR SALE.........I really love her. I knew this cross would work five years ago when Jesse had Thunder and Candy. Some cross above but with a brother a sister.
All of the dogs in this litter are around seven months old and will run and tree their own coon. That is what Larry Wilcox and I have look at over the years in keeping pups not just them making out but littermates. From JR, Bingo, Jake, Train, who got killed by a porcupine, Ringo, then St Nick, Blue, Dan, Tae Boe, Gun and now BJ and Lucky all were winners. I just glad to be a part of this. Larry remember the time we had Gold out St Nick. Lucky, Bad Eye and maybe OLD bell. We treed in the middle of the swamp and we had one heck of a time getting Lucky to come out of that swamp. How about the time Lucky treed and Bingo tried to get Lucky to pull off the tree by treeing all around her then after 30 minutes Bingo gave in and treed with his daughter. Lets do not talk about Gr Nt Ch Gr Ch Northridge Timber Valley Queen up in a tree and had the Paw Paw fire department out to get her out of the tree.
I broke her with a bb gun.
So many memories. My favorite one was with OLD Bell when she would pull up treed in a hunt and have the coon then she would slide over to a tree with no coon and she would see lights coming in and she would go back on the tree with the coon and leave the other hounds on the slick tree. I have been told many times I have been beat by a slick handle but not a slick coondog.

Thanks John, Yours always welcome...I have been back hunting now for 4 straight nights...(MEDS) and it sure feels good to get back in the woods....BJ is going to get a lot of work in the next month or two.....You better get Lucky in woods also....I got Pistol Pete and Gun Smoke to work this summer and Son of a Gun in the makings followed by ShotGun..Better get lots of drugs to keep this old leg going.........

A big thanks for all the calls and pm's had a great time...Saw some good dog work and great conversation...We made the Wld Ch cross and then went hunting....next night hunted again..great hunt...Richard left I thought..next day phone call bad weather so stayed another day....Monday night came made another hunt after work great hunt again (even if I can't tell directions) long walk...It was fun and had 4 GREAT HUNTS...When it gets dark and we put the boots and lights on we all want the same thing..We want a good hunt, good dog work, and to improve the English hound...larry

Never forget the story about you told me you were hunting in the woods by yourself and a young boy tapped you on the shoulder. Boy had no light and he scared you then you turn around and he was gone......I would of crawled in my boots to hide. I remember you telling that story when we were hunting Old Bell and Jake in the spot that happen

MR. Larry, you didnt see where he went to? I remember back in the day, when hunting with Junior, in the big thicket, there was a tail of some coon hunters getting lost and never found, and several hunters would hear hounds and see lights coming at them but when they would get in shouting distance the dogs would stop and the lights would go out,i remember a whole cast come in saying they had run in to that. you never know.

TERRY, We all have weard things happen...I was hunting alone in Alema swamp one night some years ago I used to hunt this swamp 4 to 5 nights a week and still hunt sometimes out there..Anyway I was setting on a log late in the evening on a still full moon night, dogs working a bad track. behind me set a old barn not used in a many year all grown over in weeds and vines..All of a sudden the barn door swang shut hard and loud...I was back to my truck and half way home before I settled down and returned to get my dogs......true story...

MR. Larry, I would have gone just like you did,I would have left there in a hurry.lol This is the best part of coonhunting, is the funny things now, that sure wouldnt at the time. And MR. Larry there all true things that happend. I remember hunting in the 70's and had on bell bottom pants and knee boots, and there was this feild rat run up my pants leg, and he didnt stop to he got to( o" know Lord help me spot) lol I thought it was snake,lol my brother had to pull my pants down because i had a choke hold on this what i thought was a snake. when he jerked them down, i sqeezed that rat so hard. i broke every bone in that rats body. LOL.
