"Patch" has been lookin awsome. Drop rite out of a hot race & power slam behind the other's & have the meat. His parent's are proud of him & his sister "Moe" as are we.

Gonna make that cross again so's we have some ankle biter's to watch grow............

Sounds like a good plan! Man, if it wasn't for growing older, it would be nice to speed things up to see how they turn out. Good luck!

"IS IT FALL YET"?

Thank's Roger! I must admit we are having some fun in the process that's for sure. Not much of the "MY" dog anymore but a whole lotta "OUR" hound's & I like it that-a-way!

I do what I can during the week keepin the travelin crew in shape & up on the wheel. WE hunt them & our son's enter the hunt's and are learnin the rope's rite along.

Heard a few comment about Dan wippin out the rule book from his pocket to settle question's & such that transpire......LOL!!

With matt,Ben & Dan busier than a fire hydrant at a dog show this time of year with work it make's it rough to get out to much or the way they'd like to. Gettin up at 4:00 am,workin on the road & livin in motel's as well as pullin major hour's keepin them red tractor's rollin is second to family. Hound's fall in behind there somewhere.

With me bein a few puppy's short of a pet shop I have a lil more time & unfortunately for the dog's they hav'ta wait a lil longer as well as show some patient's for me side steppin & back peddlin. I'm in bad need of some sweatin to I might add & better drippin in the timber than the easy chair the way I see it...LOL!!

Good thing 'bout raisin them from pup's. They learn the good, the bad & most importantly the ugly!!

I'm ready for some frost..................................

I 2nd that!!! This dry, warm weather has been real frustrating for me the last couple nights. But, at least I've gotten out!!! My dog, (now DOGS), aren't going to learn anything sittin in the backyard every night. I see it's tryin to sprinkle a little, maybe a little moisture will do some good for the trackin tonight?!?!

Brandon, We could use some rain no doubt but we've been power slammin coon every night. Kit's hangin on limb's like crazy now & been dewin up around here on the folage anyway especially in the bottom's. Still plenty of dust a raisin on the gravel & feild road's though that's for sure...............

Posted by Brandon Gudgeon on 06-17-2009 02:11 AM:

We need to get together sometime, I go hunting and it seems the "hollers" here aren't as deep to get that heavy dew and moisture in the air.

Plus, it would be nice to have a good dog show my "still learnin" dog what to do, and how it's done... LOL

HI Russ, could never figure out why the kits down that way
are out so much earlier than around here. I've never saw any
around here till the very end of June!

Scott,I would have to say that is another element of "Bergman's Rule". There was some treed at the nat'l hunt I heard of & just in the last week or so their crawlin around here.

We stopped by the house last weekend after our cast was done & there was a litter driftin across the yard & several treed that night as well.

Best I got!

Russ,
I'm sorry he's not a blue dog, but I was pretty excited over this one last night. Edge did a real nice job when we were out last night. He got deep and "treed" this one.

It was an awesome hunt, really pulled it together on this one. Picture doesn't do it justice. As you can see by dirt on Edge, he really worked to get it.

Brandon That's a groovy picture without question ! When I've seen picture's like that in the past I alway's think of a lot of blood shed & not just the coon either. That barbwire can be some mean stuff as you know & I don't think our's would be smart 'nuff not to dive in head first without givin it a thought...LOL!

Every dog has to have a flaw I reckon, still lookin' for that perfect dog. Maybe I'm huntin the wrong color, ya reckon????

early kits down , theory?!?!?!

maybe it comes from the two toes clan's purpletickbones runnin 'em so hard early in the spring and causing premature birthin , gettin the kits on the ground and growin quicker!??!?!?! was gonna see ya at maribel , but between losing a young friend , mom gettin more sugery , and wantin to be around and awake for dads father bunchin up aint gonna happe, hope everyone has a great time ,,, ad hope evryone remembers they are hunting under the " honor" rules system!!!!

TT's

I'm a little disappointed in ya'!! When Brandon said he "may" be hunting the wrong color, I thought you might have jumped all over that comment. Been treeing lots of little kits down this way too. Plus hearing some get 'scrunched' once in a while, before getting up a tree.

Will plan on seeing some of the 'crew' on Saturday. Take care, Ron.

If only I had the room, then I could have a "red white and blue kennel". I've already got the red and the white. Maybe you guys should take me huntin some night and convince me....
