i wish it was in the forties here guys. dang. in the teens. oh well, and dogs are getting restless. cant wait til deer season is done. they need to run.

And the Apple Brown Betty too! YUM!

Howdy to all! Dry day here, think it got up to 31 or so. I WILL get used to it eventually. Web wanted NOTHING to do with it...LOL.. He would NOT go out with Bob after his breakfast... so I took him for his brisk walk around the neighbors THEN... stayed in with him and his kitty visit... and worked on laundry. Get a bit of a nap in too... THEN I did chores in the aftn... while Web stood outside shivering... LOL. He does NOT like the cold... I have got the layers down real well now so I did better today. STILL hate it!
Tomorrow I'll go in to Boston to see my Mum. SHe has another new eye Dr to see. (she has had MANY eye surgeries. She has glaucoma(as I do and at least 2 sisters do)... and all sorts of eye issues... ruff on an artist to get blinder and blinder.... Hope this Dr will be able to help with the latest issue. Will be nice to keep her company and have a visit with her for the pm one on one. SO... I will miss out on all the goings on here tomorrow! SO you all be GOOD!

Brr...my thermometer says 21 on the outside this morning. Don't think there is anything on the ground but frost but I have not ventured out yet. Guess I'll just have to enjoy you boys and girls snow. That's the best way anyway I think! Hope you got some Cleo! You were wishing for it weren't you?

Looks like everyone ...but me... is sleeping this morning! Well guess I'll carry on the conversation by my lonesome.

Think I'll just diagnose Miss Cleo's problem online since I'm so good at it. My guess would be that her lug nuts were loose causing it to make that sound. Prolly got big tires on her 4X4 and they tend to loosen up. Just hope you only have some lug bolts to replace and your Wheels are ok! How straight did I shoot that time?

I forgot to tell you I have a new Bo! He's not really "new"..... we dated a while back and he had to move to Ashville.....he's back now. I have someone to go to IHOP with now!!!

Well good Cleo! Glad to see you up and about! You at work or home? You sure hit it early if you are at work! I looked at your NOAH weather online this morning to see if you had any snow and it looked pretty close to mine. I did notice you had an 18 in the future. We are going to get another shot of cold in a few days..good or bad. I turned my Blue ones out a few minutes ago.. They don't even know that frost is on the ground.

I'm at work. I come in around 6:45 to get opened up. I go home around 3:30 or 4:00 since the time has changed to let my mutts out and get them settled in. I'm gonna work another couple years, then I'm gonna retire. Looking forward to it. I am also working to get my kennel the way I want it by then. I'm getting there. I have so good stock in females. My male, Wade, is WONDERFUL in tracking and OB. but he lacks size. I'm going to cross him with my larger females and see what happens!

They were ready to go play this am as well. the cold hasn't effected them one bit!

Sounds like a good plan but being home all the time is HARD WORK . I know some people that had to go back to work to get some rest. Glad you have some good stock to work with in your kennel. Hope that plan works for you too.

Allegheny Pan-Fried Trout with Pecans and Brown Butter

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
Salt, cayenne and white
pepper to taste
4 12-ounce trout, gutted,
scaled and heads
removed
6 tablespoons vegetable or
peanut oil
1/2 cup finely chopped
pecans
1/4 cup finely chopped
parsley
1/4 cup unsalted butter

Method:

Place flour in medium bowl; season with salt and peppers and mix well.
Dredge each fillet in flour and seasoning.
Heat three tablespoons oil in a large skillet until hot. Saut� two fish at a time until golden brown on both sides. Repeat with remaining oil.
Transfer to a large baking sheet and repeat with the remaining trout. Place in a 200-degree oven to keep warm.
Melt butter in a nonstick saut� pan over medium-high heat. Allow the butter to
foam and turn golden brown.
Place each fillet on dinner plate and pour butter over each top.
Sprinkle with the pecans and parsley. Garnish with a large wedge of lemon.
