I had fried squirrel homemade biscuits and gravy. By the way my Aussie treed the squirrels. Didn't need cur dogs to do the job.

Sounds like a meal fit for a king. We had an english shepard when I was a kid that was the best squirrel dog I ever had.

Good morning everyone floating from my boat. I am getting now. This weather is about to get to me. Have a meeting tonight at the club. Everyone is getting a BIG surprise. I am quitting after tonight. They can find a new Sec. and Treas. I am done. Hope everyone is doing fine this wet day.

Hey Mike how long have you been doing sec. treasuer job? I think this weekend the coon club here is having a meeting to elect President and Vice President because they are stepping down. I'm not liking this weather much myself. Just remember only 3 more months till spring and then we'll be complaining about having to mow the yard.

I think I am going to run for president as there are several things I would like to see accomplished. Ask Tony to see if he is interested in sec. -Treasurer. If nothing else come out for big coon contest and to vote. Bring Bob out with him. Rex you are welcome. Part of the sec. duties need split up so one guy doesn't have to do so much.

These are things I would like to see happen in 2012.

5 swim races on sunday UKC then after pending how many dogs we get a money race.

Improve our Club House and our club. by adding a - Cook Stove, Improved toilets, Check into running water. General paint and Cleanup day. Having a food special each time other than just hambergers. Hold Monthly meetings or at least semi monthly meetings. Increase participation of young people in comp. hunting. Get More comp. hunters and friends of hunting coming to our hunts and meetings. Add more members to our club.

Last but not least have some family feeds like was done years ago. Try and Get taxes taken off again by a signed partition to get property taxes revoked.

That can be a long time, Daryl and Mark has done it much longer so I see why they want a break.

It never hurts to get new blood in offices. Just like in the government they need to be changed out ever so often and not retire in there position!!! If they are doing a good job let them stay if not that's what elections are for. ........ Jeff sounds like you've got a plan!!!

All the running you do and getting paper work done and the license with the state someone else needs to step up and do their part. Most of them wants to come chit chat hunt then go home. Done with it.

Ya some people want to sit on sidelines and enjoy the fun while everyone else does all the work. Need someone to get them motivated which is hard to do in this day and age. A lot of people looking for easy way don't want responsibility.

I been doing VP work 3 years and know what you mean. I do feel that these things can be done rather cheaply (except water maybe). At least get a comitee to look at it. Change can be a good thing sometimes. These other guys have done it all for years, that has to take a toll.

I myself is going back to pleasure hunting when I want. Not going have to worry about a hunt or meetings at the club.

To each his own some people like the competition and some don't it's each persons preference.

I been in it going on 20years now. I have loved it and loved guiding cast. But it has got to fast a pace for me. They want to run to their dogs when treed after the five minutes and it has took all the fun out of it. I can't stay up with the younger generation today. They say faster we go more coons we can hit. I see their point but it also what they call competition hunting and sportsmanship and fun. Not any more. It is all about that green stuff.
