Just returned home from Ben Smith's place with my Blaze x Thumper pup. I could not be more happier with my pup. I want to thank Ben and tell everyone that he is a good guy to deal with. I look forward to training her.

Just wanna giv an update on our blaze × latenite dixie female. Exactly 1 year old now. Been running and treeing since 7 or 8 months by herself. Hunts out good. Lots of drive and energy. Bawl on track. Not the classiest tree dog in the world, mix bawl chop and bounces around a bit, but she is bug eyed and intense. And when she hits the tree there is no question and she is LOUD. So far for trash she has run a bear (which she treed once but it bailed as i was lookn at it) and she has bumped one porky with a few quills in her but not that bad. Theres been a couple other times i suspected trash but didnt catch her red handed and she ended up under a coon. Shes been run 99 percent on her own so far. Only been out 2 nights with other dogs for a total of 6 drops. 5 out of that 6 she got split on her own and the other one was a whole litter up a tree right by the truck that my buddys dog ambushed. She tried hard to find another track but eventually backed but her heart wasnt in it like when on her own. Seems very independent for know but might change if out with other dogs more. Seems like she really wants to be accurate as well. Heres a couple blury pics from the 3rd drop last night where she had some kits up. We gave her a little reward and all went home happy
Sory for the long post but just wanted to giv u an update with all the good and bad. (For me more good!!) Plan to put a good hide season on this fall and if she keeps progressing well hit the hunts after that.

I can't say enough about this pup I got from ya, the kids named him Optimus Prime we just call him Prime, he is very good looking great feet, has that nice blocky head with big ears, just an all around great hound looking pup. He acts real good he runs loose for now, he gives the 2 cats that we have a heck of a time. Lol He is the smartest lil pup I have had & I have went through several, I will keep you posted on how he is doing from time to time. I can send you some pics now & then if you wanna put them on here I'm not all that good at doing it, thanks Heikki
