I made my wife a necklace like this a few years back . I didn't fill it full of gold nuggets,because I added in a couple of raw diamonds,a couple of rubies ,one emerald and one small jade nugget ,kinda pretty if I do say so myself .

Well the wife called me awhile ago ,said she and her friend were going to stop at Hobby Lobby . I ask her to see if they had any leather carving kits there . She said I needed to give up my hobbies like prospecting,hunting,etc,,,,,, that woman is walking on very dangerous ground now . lol

If you look at this nugget you can see the quartz rock still "Infused " in it ,, My problem is I got some rocks with just tiny specks of gold holding to the rock ,lol

Got an E Mail today from the GPAA that said ,if you call this number 888-GOLD-717 you can buy someone a membership for $55.00 thats 33% savings. Now here's the catch you have to call before Dec.20,2013 ,and it only going to be good for the first 500 callers , man that is cheap but you will have to pay like ten bucks or so shipping . You get a gold pan, the miners guide ,a years subscription to the magazine ,ballcap,sucker bottle etc . They got some deals going on now so do your thing and call ,,I'm going to just to get a cheap year bought . Have your wife to call and put it in your name is the way to do it .

Once you get started in prospecting,you can't go without a good backpack setup somewhat like this . My pack is larger than this one so I carry 2 pans and a 1/2 inch classifying screen . Your pack needs lots of pockets for extra goodies like insect repellant,firstaid kit etc. Throw it on your back ,grab you 5 gal. bucket and shovel and head out.

I think I may have touched on this subject abit , You have different sizes of classifying screens ,I have a 1/2 inch screen ,then I have a #4,#8 and a #32 I think. The #32 gets that really fine stuff but they make finer mesh screens like #50,#100,that magnifying glass small . Here is an example of different size screened gold .

Tim the largest ever recorded was a nugget found in Australia that weighed over 630 lbs yep pounds , Here is a pic of another Aussie nugget ,, weighing well over 200 lbs .

Now the biggest nuggets that I have personally held in my 2 hands were pipsqueaks compared to those ,one was 4 lbs ,one weighed 6 lbs and one other was like 6 1/2 lbs .

Did any of you guys call the GPAA about the 55.00 dollar membership ? I tried but it was for new members only ,so my wife got me a deal of 2 more years added to my current membership . Boys Spring can't get here quick enough for me ,so I can go on the hunt for those old yellowstones ,lol
