2013 BBCHA Fall Round Up

I would like to CONGRATULATE my good friend John Bishop and his nice young hound Sonic. John and Sonic won 1st place registered Friday night at the Fall Round Up. Sonic is now a NiteCh. John and Sonic also hunted Saturday night in Sonic's first Nitech cast, Sonic won the cast. Nitech Bishop's Blue Super Sonic is out of Harpeth River Blue Jack x McGinnis' Blue Thunder. Awesome, Congrats again !!!

Jack pups updates

I would like to congratulate my good friend John Bishop and his nice young hound NiteCh Bishop's Blue Super Sonic on picking up a NiteCh win Saturday night.

I have been getting excellent reports on some of the Jack x Sissy pups recently along with the Jack x Thunder pups. These pups are now around 4 months old. I recently received a video on a Jack x Sissy male on his first time on a coon hide, went nuts, ran and treed every drag they made for him and tore into the hide when they let him have it. He sounds like he is going to have a nice mouth and going to be a nice tree dog.I received another video of a Jack x Sissy male treeing on a coon hide, first time he had been messed with, he looked good doing it for his age, he was a little over 2 months old at the time. I also had a guy call me about a female out of Jack x Sissy that was taken to the woods for the first time the other night. She struck and located ahead of the older dog and treed. She had the coon. She also made a den tree with the older dog on the next drop. This guy is excited about this little female. She is 4 months old.He also told me she has a very nice mouth. Also talked with a guy that has a Jack x Vaughn bred pup. He said that little dude is a go hunting little fool and is very smart, and has a good mouth.He is 3 months old now. Been getting several good reports on some Jack x Thunder pups also. I got a call about a little female that ran and treed with the old dog first night in the woods. She treed hard and never missed a beat. Mike got a call from a man that bought a Jack x Thunder male . The pup was 9 weeks old, and was running and treeing the family cat. Mike also has a very nice female that has been running and treeing the barn cats every time he turns her loose. We are thrilled to get these kind of reports and can't wait to hear about another one. Thanks for all the reports we have gotten so far. I'm currently hunting a nice young male not yet 2, out of Jack x Thunder. I'm liking him a lot, but work has taken my time away from hunting right now. Hope to get him back in the woods in the coming weeks.

I still have a few Jack x Honky Tonk(Vaughn bred) pups for sale. Also looks like Wild-n-Blue Sissy and McGinnis' Blue Thunder will be bred back to Jack.

Our season opens tomorrow night and I hope to hunt with several of Jack's offspring this season. I have been looking forward to it.

Early indications are, that there should be several Jack pups at the Spring SS this year. Jack's pups have done well at this event in the past, with back to back Baby Stakes finalist the last 2 years, along with the high scoring early rounds, a Sophomore Division quarter finalist and total cast wins from 4 different pups over the last 2 years with 3 of them earning some SS money. Several earning the UKC NiteCh degree, all with wins towards Grand, along with some that have wins towards the Nitech degree. I am very pleased with what the Jack pups have accomplished to date. I have no doubt there will be many more accomplishments made by Jack pups in the future.

opening night

Action packed hunt last night for me and Krypt. Young dog didn't do bad. He has only been hunted a handful of times since last season. 2 trees no coon seen, 2 singles, 1 den, caught a big boar on the ground and a couple turnouts with no barks. Had some better pictures but accidently erased them this morning.

Hunted last night with several Jack pups.

I got to hunt with several Jack pups last night. I started off hunting Krypt by himself. Krypt hunted the section out well then turned his nose into the wind, crossed a large bean field and fell treed on a big oak with a nice sized boar coon in it. I then made a call to meet up and see that young Jack x Sissy female go, that I have heard a lot about. All I can say is she is for real. She is not 5 months old yet and will go hunting hard, get struck, push a track, and is a hard steady tree dog. Daisy also has a lot of grit and will get right on top of a coon. On my last tree of the night there was 3 Jack pups out of 3 different females treed on a coon along with a walker male and a walker pup. It was a sight to see and man ole man did those dogs make some noise. The Jack pups on the last tree were Daisy almost 5 months old (Jack x Sissy), Woody not yet 2(Jack x Balie) Krypt just turned 2 (Jack x Thunder). Daisy's brother Blue hunted with us last night also. He is not as far along as Daisy but he is coming along well. Not a bad night for it being nearly a full moon and bright. I would say we will be hearing more about ole Daisy in the months ahead. It was a fun hunt to see the young ones go. I also witnessed some pretty impressive 3 month old walker pups, running track, treeing some and a lot of grit getting in there and fighting a coon.

Talked to a man in TN that is hunting a young male off of Jack that he got from me. He told me he is coming along very well and believes he is going to make a nice one. He has treed several coon with him. I liked the dog a lot when I had him here. Very very nice mouth.

I have been hunting a young male off of Jack myself. He has treed me several coon. He has been very accurate. He has treed several lay up coons and is a nice loud tree dog. The other nigh the young dog treed one behind the trucks about 90 yards while the two older hounds treed one at 1000 yards in front of the trucks. Below is a pic of that tree job at couple nights ago.
