I pretty much have my mind made up that I'm gonna be crossing this female on Bear when she comes in again. She should be in again in late February or early March...I'm hoping she holds off for May pups...good SS birthdays!

my 6 mo. old pup split treed from my young female last nite while another dog was tracking yet. babe (female) had a coon and Bart (bear pup) had two coon. this pup is as hard of a tree dog as i have ever heard, and LOUD. they were split within 50 yrds of each other. thats the first wild coon to his credit, more to come i'm sure!!

mine started at 5 mo.old. he is 6 mo. old now and has treed a couple coon by himself while hunting at night. couple nights ago he treed split on a den tree across a valley with two dogs treed on the opposite hill side. when he trees he is deaf to the world.

I believe that is whats making bear be so popular in the stud pen these days is the way how most of his pups start early and most have tremendous mouths.

Another thing about bear that is going to make him one of the best reproducers is the way he is crossing excellent on just about every female he has bred. It doesn't matter how they're bred or how they operate cross em on bear and more than likely they'll be balanced. Bear pups have more "character" than any other line or dogs iv seen.

Mac is a full littermate to my last resort dog. They are 17 months old and out of a skipper style female with a shot of wild clover on the bottom side.
