Didnt turn out bad at all. I would like to learn some of that knowledge. I know you have a ton of it I need to learn. I am lucky to have someone with such knowledge so close to learn from. Hope to maybe go with ya this weekend.

!st one of mine bred to a Jet dog

This was Dual Grand Ch Blue Bio Blue Penny. Line bred off Tahsudas Arkie-the dog the entire Arkie line came from! People are saying today that their dogs are Arkie bred and I do not see Arkie even in the pedigree. First spoke with Ed back in early 80's about breeding Penny after Dual Grand Ch Horse Branch Blue Bawler died. Penny had come from Alan Waggoner-who I'm pretty sure is responsible for getting Wesley Martin started in this sport.

Good job Jacob!

Mr. Jacob Webb worked hard to earn 4th pl. at the Georgia State Youth Hunt in Albany, Ga. last night. I say worked hard because he and his fellow cast mates got into a yellow jacket nest and got stung several times. Jacob was hunting Gr Ch Blue Bio 6 Again's Big Boy--they got some hardware, their picture took and won a light for their troubles--I am sure it was all worth it in the long run. Big Boy is sure missed around here and will be welcomed back hopefully after he and Jacob do some more winning. Good job by the whole Webb family--right Daddy Webb!

Congrats. Glad to see him back hunting again. Know losing a dog will take the steam out of you but hunting one like Big Boy can bring it back. Congrats to Jake and the Webb fmaily. Seem like a great family. I forget which one I talked to a while back (think it was Gabe?) but yall seem like stand up folks and true to keeping it blue and bringing up that youngin right having a blue dog on the end of his leash.

Enjoyed our go last night Cw. Hoping to get this gyp fixed up and see what she can do next weekend hopefully. Got a long weekend so I might be buggin ya for 2-3 nights of hunting.

White Oak Mountain Stylish Diana

Mr. Stanley Bowling picked up Diana yesterday. She had been here a few days getting acquainted with Ed's Reject. Reject was sorry to see her go. Stanley and Diana won 1st. place registered at the BBCHA Hunt in Roberta this year. Stanley was good friends with Harold Wayne Wolaver--the last time I got to see and hunt with him was at Ed's house. If you never got to meet him--then you really missed out. We got in the woods every night last week-some were short hunts but better than not going--made 15 trees looked at 12 coon and I looked at 2 dillars--trying to increase that 1st # and eliminate the 2nd #. Set a record for a low on this date this morning of 39--I know a bunch of you up north are laughing but this is NICE for us when just a couple of weeks ago it would be over 85 when we turned loose. The opposite of what Rick Tompter used to tell me when he would say summer was going to be July 20th that year up there--one day! I am enjoying these--hope you are enjoying yours1

Zero Pups

Clyde-this is the first time Reject has been bred. Just got in from a good little hunt with Bobby , Micheal, Ben, and Joel Carter--Ricky Herrington and Roscoe Turner. We treed a couple of singles and one of them wanted to run. The man that owns the land we were hunting on ran us down in his truck on the way out-I was not in my truck and he did not recogonize us untill I got out--pity the person who even trys---he had his rifle out. Super nice guy-just does not take any crap from anyone--not on his own land. I have been hunting there since the mid-60's. We had a good time -a real good bunch to hunt with-cooler temps had my phone ringing today from people I had not talked to in years-some of them do not even coon hunt any more -just said if felt so good it got them to thinking about it--well me too!

Morn'n.

Cw, your ears should have been burning Sat. afternoon, your name came up several times. lol

Boy placed 4th out of 18 dogs and in very dry conditions. The good Lord sure did give us a great night for this event with clear skies, no wind and cool temps.

James

All good reports about your event--I knew they would be. Hey if the talking was about me then you were not talking about somebody else--right. we had a dog get snake bit last night and that's never good--everything is OK today. Just got off the phone with Ed. Based on my conversations with him I am going ahead with a prediction--watch out for a female --Hope--when Ed talks about one like this this they are something--just one of the 54!

Hope yall killed Mr. No Shoulders if you were close enough to figure out what happened. You would figure out of this whole hot dry summer it would have happened then when everything was looking for water..dogs, coon, snakes...not when it gets cold... and now a dog gets snake bit..thats something else huh.

Hate to hear about the snake bite CW. Hope dog recovers well. Found out Sat. afternoon that Mr. Ed Willis had a stint put in Friday and this past summer Mrs. Willis had quadruple bypass done in Tallahassee. Mrs. Willis told me on the phone, they were both doing well as to be expected.

CW, I hope the hounds ok....My Brother, Kevin and I, killed another Copper Head here, about three night's ago. It couldn't strike out out very far from being cold, but sure was an agressive, little two footer.....The Female, Hope that you spoke of, who has her and what was her mothers name??...Thanks-Eric.

2 Chris'-Eric-Ricky-James

Do hope that the Willis's are both doing well. The dog that was bitten is doing fine. We tell everyone not to worry they do not bite this time of year. They will bite you however.Chris Poole now that you are a new Uncle please make plans to visit and squeeze in a hunt with us. Now the other Chris--plenty of books for you to borrow--as far back as you want to go with these Blue dogs and with Coon Hunting. Currently working up some info for Russ Dowing and Stanley Bowling. Ricky Herrington is willing to put up all us Blue dog folks and his Blacky dog is batting a thousand with us--3 trees & 3 coons. Sure makes it look easy. Eric was wondering where you were--see stuff on facebook. I'm cutting this off --going to the woods.

Eric--Hope

Hope is out of 6 Again X Jimmy Yawn's Gr Nt Ch Birdy female. As to who has her, its a fellow over in Albion, Mich. Goes by the name of Edward, last name Mead, who ever that is--said he is real excited about her and thinks she will do good in night hunts. Thats just one persons view and how much stock can you put in that? You know how some people are they get a dog that trees a coon or two and they think they can win the world hunt. So stay tuned--just maybe this Edward Mead knows what he is talking about and this Hope female can do her thang! Terry Tucker says he has one of the 54 now --a 6 Again female. Scott Phillips was with Ed when we spoke by phone--The Maddy female will be back hunting in another week or two. She is another one that just lacks a place to be a Night Ch. Good luck everybody and let me know cause I'm pulling for you!lol

The Bawler dog..

Was reading the thread in the main Coonhound section and noticed someone was asking about the Bawler dog CW. I bumped it back up top.."the best blue dog ever" thread. It was asked a few years back but the thread is still alive. Just figured I would throw it out there to ya if ya wanted to tell em of the Bawler dog. Seems that no one had any experience with em and figured you could shine some light on what was one of the nicest dogs out there back in the day. I always enjoy hearing all about the foundation of the breed and I am sure there are others that will too.

Thumbs up!

Go win your cast tonight and lock up Queen of the Hunt! James -it is safe to say that Eric and I are both fans of Ed--my comments about the Hope dog were my feeble attempt to be funny. It is nice when Ed says one is doing that good . Penny is your female that did not catch--look at it this way--if she had--Penny would be at home with pups right now-instead of one step closer to Grand Night Champion-now doesn't that sound nice--thanks for the update-wish I was there! GOOD LUCK!!
