the dogs are doing better than me,
the cold spell hit and hasnt let up ,
then i had a scope done on my knee on jan 4th and the few fair nights that would been good for me to sit and listen ,the poping and cracking in my knee was worse than before the surgery,
just cant win for loosing..
the pups are big enough and gritty enough ,i think the yotes may have a problem if they do a visit on their trees, lol

seems like the coon population around here is lower than normal.
i talked to my uncle to live trap me some coon as he used to catch them in his garden and just shoot them and toss them in his mulch pile for the garden fertalizer ,but he said something wrong as he hasn't been catching any house cats neither.

i know we got a couple yote packs within a 1/4 mile of our houses and now got at least 5 bobcats 1 1/2 miles from us.
seen the cat tracks in my yard and poor old moe tangled with one of the cats a couple times when they peeked into his box.in the winter ,old moe looks like a black/white mop with that poodle hair that dont shed ,have to clip him durning the summer.

need someone with some yote and cat dogs to come for a visit ,lol,
i'm able to drive but not able to walk thru the woods ,but with a good chainsaw would be able to get the 4 wheeler close for a shot..

will try to get some pictures taken for ya soon.these pups are getting loud ,dang females are as loud as the males,,going to sound like a war when they all get together, lol
if things work out right thinking of breeding prince to these loud females as he's so loud he can drown out my loud dogs.
he's better looking than his picture,

prince

if anybody's got any linebred house females that would like to put some loud and looks into their pups just let me know,i think prince could do that,he's louder than my rebel pups and thats loud ,my neighbors dont like him,lol

Hey Roger all is going well in Texas, its been cold and we have had snow twice already, very unusual.

Tank has been treeing them coons.

COON DOG is a term I take very seriously, to me its the highest level you can get. I have been very careful not to call Tank one yet. But man, at less than 2 years, I am about ready to. Since he was 9 months old he has been very solid. But the last few months it seems like he has hit another gear.

January I hunted him 8 nights he made 21 trees and saw 19 coons. No record but pretty good for around here. He hunts very hard and is hard as a rock. We are gonna hit some hunts this Spring.

We bred a nice Chance/Maniac female to Tank last week. I am anxious to see what we get.

Hows is Tanks little sis ?

Wildbill, hope you get healed up soon. The weather has kept me out of the woods this hunting season and it is killing me so I can relate to at least that part of your frustration. A few of my buddies about 50 miles from me said that destemper came through and whipped their coons out. Sounds like something like that has hit your area as well.

Paul, news like that is what I was hoping to hear. Tank's little sister "Mad Molly" is doing good and growing. She seems to have a lot of drive for her age. I just let my pups run loose on the farm until they start treeing. I walked up to check the feeder the other day and she went with me and took off. Was gone a very long time so I just walked back home. Heard her running something way up on the mountain and sounded really good. A tiny little thing but seems to have a decent mouth. Maybe she will hit a growth spurt soon. When she starts treeing I will start hunting her. How and when did Tank start?

molly's looking good,,i think rebel jr. is about the same size.
i dont think buddy started really filling out till he was around 12mths old,,he's got the legs to him now but built for speed and use's it when he's loose, dont stand around ,always on the go,
havent done anything with jr since i showed him the dead coon the first week of season, the video i had was the first time he had seen a coon or been near one,,there a white house cat thats been getting them fired up but it sprouts wings when the house door opens, lol
we got more snow yesterday and lots of white stuff on the ground now..will try to get some pictures tomorrow . jr should look good with the white background...

Hello House fans, I just wanna tell you all that you have a bunch of dandy looking pups and it sounds like you all are big time believers in the House blood line. I talked on the phone yesterday with Jeff Duvall and I gotta say that it was a short conversation but what a nice fella to talk to! I would love to sit down and really pick his brain and I bet I could learn a lot. I myself am always trying to come up with a foundation for my own blood line and always trying to make the ultimate cross to produce the ultimate hounds and hopefully it will all come together one of these days. At this time I own my old female directly out of X JR. and she is a good one, I also made a cross with her and Stylish Harry's Hammer and produced a litter of pups that I have been getting good feedback on. I kept a male out of this litter who is now about 16 mo. old and I really like everything I'm seeing! Hopefully him and the female House bred female I'm gonna own will be the cross I have been trying to achieve! Until then, best wishes to all and keep em huntin!

the only way they can make one stop getting it done is to tie it up or kill it.

Man, seeing these pictures and pedigrees take me back. The old stud ad for lawyer and cruze was the best though. I remember when Tom Bates brought them to Pa. and hunted with Greg Dunlap. I was lucky enough to go the one night and see them in person. Cruze was a treeing machine!! And I thought Lawyer broke my fricken ear drum. Man they were great!!

i hunted with macks little joe out of cruze,,joe made treeing coon look easy,
he was like my caseyjo female on my webpage,,
when she barked you could put your shells in your gun and didnt take all night getting it done same as joe,,
i was going to breed her to joe the second time around but couldnt catch her in heat when i had time off the semi or have a load going thru chicago like when i bred her to congers lawtoo,,

i dont think lawtoo was as fast as joe at making coon climb but he did reproduce loud coon treeing machines that could pass on the lawyer mouth and early treeing abilty.i still have have 5 dogs here with that blood of lawtoo and cruze in it

Hey Jason, I remember coming over to PA and hunting with you and Greg Dunlap. Had a great time that weekend. That had to be 25 yrs ago. I would sure like to have a couple of dogs like Lawyer and Cruze to hunt again. They were two of my favorites......Tom Bates
