My Rock dog (and all the Little Arkie x Squaw pups) were or are 4th generation Skinners Rattler. If you will look at their pedigree, the "Vaughn's Blue Jim" dog, was out of Skinners Rattler.

This picture is about a week before the first one.

Mammas papers. and if you want to know, Rocks pedigree is the same as the buster dog that is also in this post. I lost Rock's papers about 6 or 7 years ago so I couldnt scan them if I wanted to.lol

Kelly, I know, I have owned several off Arkie and Arkie sons and Daughters. There are several other lines with this blood that dont have an ounce of Arkie in them. Thats what I was referiong to. The forgotten lines of Elberts handed down stock.

Arkie Dog, is the heck and warrior dog you speak of fro one of loyd robinsons dogs?

Yes it is, I try to keep in touch with Lloyd. He's helped keep the Vaugn line going for a long time, and is a gentleman. It would be great if he could get pups from him. A lot of old blood up close.

Yes, it would. Seems like he called the old dog rock. I met Lloyd one time and seemed like a fine man. Hope you have good luck with this endeavor.

LLoyd Robinson

He called me about a pup sometime back. I wrote the number down....

Ken

I found a pedigree on my ol Dottie gyp.. She was Scouts 1/2 sister same dam and an old blooded male that was local bred in the mountains east of here. Do you remember Leroy Wilt had a dog named Rock from Tige x Belle ?? Cottrill's Hilltop Smokey, Bailey's Tattletale, there are several others that I don't recall off top but ancient Vaughn, Lee Bros. and Top Notch Drum stock... Was nice to find that old pedigree.. She was stolen before I could raise any pups from her. Nice coondog too !!!!

I still think you need some Vaughn or Bragg blood to even out your back yard.

Posted by mrbluedog on 03-20-2009 02:44 PM:

I agree Ken especially when he claims to be a Bragg and Vaughn fancier lol

Hey Now

I have an extended pedigree on this young dog.. Plenty of Vaughn back in the foundation... It's just back farther than I like it to be....

Troy

I agree with you Troy but it really depends on how strong it is in the forth generation back.... Like my Shady Lady female. It is kind of hard to say that the top side is anything other than Vaughn blood...

Wayne would love this female. She is quite and layed back. You never know she is on the place. But comes alive in the woods...

I will be makeing that vaughn cross to a pop a top gyp next week.

SIRE : NITECH CH 'PR' MISS EMILIES BLUE TITAN VAUGHN BREED

DAM : CH 'PR' CAROLINA KATE SMOKEY RIVER BREED

Kate is right off of pop a top

I have references on how titan hunts.

Steve Perryman
Lloyd Mcintire
Darrel Price
Kevin Hedge
and many more upon request.

I keep Kate as a pleasure dog but gets the job done. Can do it by herself. She isnt mean or ill anyway. She will back off a tree if a dog face barks.

If anyone is interested I have some already booked up. Thank You.

what happens when a guy goes and visits a bunch of bluetickers in Ashland, Ohio, His "buddys" start raggin on him, on the internet...LOL..... You guys are just jealous I went without you 2 guys.. Although I saw some of Ken's neighbors there that he could have hitched a ride with... Didn't get to talk with em but I did see they were there... Now Smokey River Diamond Jim, Herb Swearengen blood with a splash of older Hammer stuff is basicly Vaughn blood in the front end....

If his papers were right, he did come from some Vaughn blood, but I doubt his papers were 100% correct. He sure didnt look 100% bluetick.

False papers or not, Diamond Jim is not known in any way to represent Elbert Vaughns breeding. He is known as a Smokey River hound.

Wayne

We have to pick on someone...you take it better than some.... and yes. Diamond Jim was basically a Vaughn dog...

Did you see Ken Fischer. He picked up a female that I sent up...

Posted by glynnsdawgs63 on 03-22-2009 02:08 PM:

Yes, I have a lot of old Smokey River blood and yes indeed they originated from Vauhn blood. That is why they cross back on Vaughn blood so well. Also my Star female is really showing pups due April !4
