We want to THANK CRAIG WOODMANSEE for trusting us with this FINE YOUNG HOUND here in our kennel this winter.

JOSH will be PUTTING the POLISH on DUKE while he is here Man what a MOUTH & A TREEDOG 2nd to NONE.

Duke won his 1st place win same place as Sherman Up State NY wont take much to finish him this was his 1st hunt ever.

Hi Ed

I will be leaving Dec. 9th. Joe said that would work out perfect for the pup. Ive been having a blast with the new dog Rip and the pups. Been treeing alot but not taking many. I want to make sure the pups dont expect a coon shot out to them everytime and its been working out great so far. I cant hardly believe the luck Ive had with the pups. Or any of my dogs for that matter. Ive been blessed to have them always turn out. Last nite something odd happened that never happened before. At the end of the hunt something scared one of the pups so bad that it took 45 minutes to catch him. He wouldnt run off but couldnt be caught either. There was no problems with the other dogs. They get along fine. Today he is himself and acting ok.I have no idea what happened. Maybe a electric fence but I didnt see any nearby. My Rip dog is doing awesome and is the easiest handling dogs Ive ever had.. He does like to go back to a previous tree once in awhile if the coon isnt shot though. Chief is doing a grown dogs job and will be 1 year in a week or so. Ciscoe is 9 months and is doing good also and is super loud like Chief. How much is a small game lisence there? Heres another old pic of a couple Uchtman bred dogs we had year ago. The big male was killed while coonhunting and a bear bailed out and landed on him breaking his back. The female lived to be 14 and treed her own bear at 13 years old.The biggest coon was 43 pounds and had a huge tail. This was from one good nite. My brother inlaw is on the left, my nephew on top and my brother on the right. The Redbone in the pic is the female Joe Maitland found for me and she is a very good dog also. I was interested in how big was the largest racoon ever recorded. I found out one was 75 pounds and was a pet and the other was a 72 pounder. Now that is a big one. Think we will ever get one that big? Id like to know how much the one Joe Maitland posted on the site weighed. That was a hog. My biggest was 45# and that was treed by my collie and shep in 1973 in the dead of winter. It had no tail and our neighbor figured it had been frozen and fell off. We've treed quite a few 30# (I think they were that big) plus this year but havent gotten anything real big yet. Alot in the 20 + pound range. Looks like you guys are treeing alot and are having some good times. It sure has been fun coohunting hard again and its fun to see young dogs turning out like they have. I didnt hunt last nite since its only 2 days till deer season. I wont be deer gun hunting this year and dont get the rush I once had. I still like to bowhunt but took the year off to train pups. Actually all hunting except for coon has taken a back seat for now. I look forward to coming down there (finally) and having a good time and meeting some new friends. Take care

check your cell phone that will cheer you up i bet. jed and faye treed a double near corn field done alright on that one. then big daddy showed them how it was done! also we seen a coon in a stone quary so we waited 15-20 mins and cut on on them but they holed up in the rubbish pile. all i can say is i was impressed with a few things i saw and heard last night i will leave it at that. call me todd

Hello, things are pretty good down here for now trying to get out & walk some for my health never thought I would be saying that but hey a mans got to do whats best for man,I dont get around in the woods like I did just a few short yrs. ago but think God Im able to get out some.

The biggest coon Ive killed around 30 pounds several 25-26 pounds in Iowa or Mi.

Love watching these young dogs come on.

Looking forward to u coming down hope y'all have a GOOD TURKY DAY !!!!! EAT A BITE FOR ME ! be careful on your trip down here, be safe !

ED LIGHTNIN HAS BEEN GETTIN OUT AND GETTIN WOOD WITH THE MEAT!! MADE A DROP AND NEVER GOT A BARK NEXT DROP HE GOT IN ABOUT 450 STRUCK AND RUN TRACK AFEW HUNRED YDS AND TREED .I DIDN,T GET TO HEAR HIM SET UP THE TREE CAUSE I WAS DRIVEIN AROUND TO GET CLOSER TO HIM . IT WORKR OUT FOR ME CAUSE I WAS ABLE TO SHINE THE TREE RIGHT FROM THE ROAD. HE WAS IN A APPLE TREE. M CAMERA IS SLOW AND LIGHTNIN MOVES HIS HEAD WHEN HE BARKS SO THE PICS ARENT THE BEST. TODD
