Yes but you still got to flap your arms or you will go straight down the middle. It is cold to. Back in high school days it didn't stop us. We hit the big muddy river many of time to get to our English Blueticks.

Andy and I hunted last night.

We got out late 8:30 killed 4 nice coon back home at 11:00 included skinning coon. Took Moo by himself had 1 slick, he didn't check enough left it( on my training method) on track then treed coon. Had one leaning tree he treed on, coon went up then back down on limbs that ran to ground. Dog ran up tree 20 feet then turned and was able to come back down. Had a real good dog ( Named Andy) many years ago do that and fell hit a rock and busted front elbow all to pieces. Would know that was only rock around the entire area. Anyway took dog to U of I and they put screws in it. He still hunted another 2 years when he could. Should have put him to sleep.

And Yes, my son is named after the dog, this dog treed 187 coon by himself one year. I was 10 when we Bought Andy off of Kenny Richards of Danville Illinois. A Good race dog friend that coonhunted. Some of you know Kenny a great friend and dogman.

Take care Jeff

Thanks Bill for your honest hunt report----good luck too you to. Nice to here the truth no windy tales here. Just seen on T V on America's funniest home video's some 'ol gal feedin' coons on her back patio she had 28 total. NOW THATS A HAUL.

Looks like sunny Friday. Rain Saturday. We have a buddy hunt Friday night and a UKC Hunt Saturday night. Next month we have 6 hunts at our club. Anybody going shopping on Black Friday? I cannot find any Winchester Power point 22. They are a 40 grain bullet and a hollow point. Lots of 36 grain. Want a knock out hard hitting bullet for coons try them.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ONE AND ALL! Today is the day to count your blessings!!!! Linda Accurate hunt report: is more like Bill's was, better off to forget it-- started off late around 7:46 took Gem and Pee Wee pup 1st strike at 7:52 she went on property I didn't have permission too be on,went down a VERY deep holler across a creek up another VERY steep hill through brush patch treed, then fell off it by the time I got there, across an open field then shut up. Stopped this %$^&*#@$%^&%!!@%^ hunt and ended up at home before 8:30. Pup ran out good ,was with mom all the time, but was very upset with the Gem dog.

This week is a good time to go buzzerd busten ( you may be a redneck if you even know what buzzerd busten is) I drive around my deer hunting spot a find buzzerd gathering and walk in on them. I have found some nice racks that folks have shot but was to dumb to find, plus it give me a chance to scout.

Posted by Rex W Sims on 11-24-2011 04:15 PM:

I can testify that Mark has some nice racks...just got done deep frying the BIRD..you all have a great one today..
