boy what a hunt we had tonight! sherman,s foot still sore from that fight with that big bore the other night so i gave him the night off. cut cody and sweety first drop they went in 600 and treed one had the meat. then cut cody ,faye , and jed in a corn lot jed and faye split from cody and there was meat in both of those trees. then cut cody, faye,jed again they treed in a monster oak. last drop same three cody was pickin and jed got first tree on that one and had the meat also. seen 5 other coon sitten up in other trees aswell. jed looked good tonight chad was happy i think. faye done good on the hotter track but treed well on the others. just givin ya the good news call you tomorow. todd

Todd & Chad, its good to hear there looking good wish I was there tonight to bring the season IN hope y'all have a good one let me know how it goes tonight.

I also need to thank GOD at this point I DONT HAVE CANCER, I've got to go back to the Doctor in a month & be checked again we sure thought the worst.

Todd had a three way spilt with Sherman,Fay,Jed all three are off Light'in & Ellie May & Speed Queen will try to post video off my phone tom.

I would like to add they found 2 coons on Jeds tree & 2 on Shermans tree Fay they didnt find one but she is just started but she did STAY not to bad for 13 month ol gip Jed just turned 2 & Sherman just turned 3 Sherman has never had a good kill season on him but if things work out this winter LOOKOUT !!!!!

Look like Light'in will be staying here in Indiana this winter.

My Dad hates the thoughts of something happen to to him deep in the country theres cliffs 200'-300' straight off there no way a dog can live if he goes over Light'in has never been around things that steep.

We might just kill the crap out of a bunch of COONS this winter with him.

Should I bring a dog? I dont have any high powered dogs but they can tree a coon sometimes. They are just dogs that I suppose get lucky sometimes. But they keep me company and are good companions. I dont know how my pups will do since being chased by wolves but they used to tag along and sometimes they would stumble upon a coon and the coon would be dumb enough to climb a tree right in front of them and then they would of course bark at it till I got there. But thanks to Joe Maitland I do have a female that can tree a coon also. She did get on the big one that I always wanted but got whooped by it and would have treed it but I pulled her off when she crossed the road. She does try hard and does tree almost everyone she strikes. She has a good nose and move a track and does not boohoo in one spot. My new highpowered one isnt so highpowered and I think being bearhunted very little and then sitting without being hunted alot hurt him some. He does tree coon,opposum and chases skunks and has some other issues but he likes me and I like him so him and I will have to get things straightened out. He does handle good though. He wont range far either but Im getting older so thats not a bad thing. The first nite he struck and was treed a half mile away in just a matter of a couple minutes and thats while he caught a skunk on the way.lol He did leave the tree as I suppose he couldnt wait for me any longer. I guess he thought the swamp was easy for me to cross also so didnt wait for me as he thought I was taking too long. Its been downhill since the first nite. But he does tree a coon now and then. He is easy to hear treed which makes it better for me since my hearing is real bad. Its nice to have a dog that can tree a coon now and then. It keeps me from getting discouraged. This pix was made sometime ago she is 13-14 months old looks alot like ol Mom nothing wrong with that Queen is a coon treeing machine I told Josh I would like for him to try & see if we could get her back in shape & make a NT.CH.at least JUST LOOK GOOD ON PAPER thats all.

A DOG DONT NEED that TITLE to TREE COONS if you HUNT ANY of them long enough they will title out its all about putting the time into them Ive seen guys hunting dogs in these hunts for 5-6 yrs trying to Title them out just to NT.CH. even seen a man put over a 100,000+ miles on a NEW FORD TRUCK trying to get this dog made NT.CH. when he should have been killed when he was 1 1/2yrs. old he did make him a NT.CH. after all this crap & STILL HAD NOTHING but that piece saying NT.CH. This is the truth if I never wake up in the morning this is SAD !!!!!!!

Ellie May was one heck of a coondog as she also was a GREAT BIG GAME HOUND !!!!! the litter mates to Fay are making there mark in Utah as Big Game Hounds these are off the first cross Of Light'in Xs Ellie May.

Fay will make a solid coondog one of these days she has NEVER NEEDED a dog to show her how its done. We might want to use ((THE ROCK)) Seman one time on her I just like the way this would stack things up.Russ Jones with Light'in & Ellie.

These papers dont show Light'in as being a Dual Gr, but he is.

todd glad to hear she's comin on for ya. Duke came on the same way....he was independant and didn't go with the other dogs. Get er' dunn cuz!.....craig
