Friends
The Pleasure of our meeting was all mine Mr. Craig and also the guys that were with you. I wish you could have stayed longer, but I understand you had your church duties and had to get back. If you are ever back in this area stop in and we'll talk and maybe if you have enough time We'll see if Tramp 11 can tree a coon. Thanks for coming and come back anytime.

Tramp And Sheba 11
Took These two out for a run tonight. They hadn't been out in a while due to all the rain and flooding we been having. Turned loose off an ole woods road into a branch. They went in about 200 yrds and struck a fair track worked it on in for about another 100 yrds and treed. We went into them and they were treed up a large Turkey Pine. The one that's in the top picture above. The tree had some vines in it, but you couldn't see up in the tree at all for the other big trees around it. I took a few pictures and cast the dogs on down the branch they followed the branch on down to where it runs into a big slough and turned east up the slough. They went up it about 500 yrds and struck a pretty good track. they moved it on in about 250 yrds and treed. I couldn't tell which side of the slough they were on, but I thought they were on the left side, so we came back around and came up the left side, but when we got even with the dogs. They were 195 yrds toward the other side, so I was sure they were on the other side, at least that was what I thought, so we went back around to the other side. When we got there they were still treeing hard, but they were not on that side either, they were rightout in the middle of the slough. I pulled up my boots and started to them. When I got there I could see they were treeing at a hole in the tree. When I got to where I could look over in the hole there sat the coon as close to the wall of the tree as he could get and the hole in the tree was too small for the dogs to get to him. I took a few pictures and we waded back out of the slough and left this one to run again. We loaded up and called it a night.
PICTURES
Great pictures Mr. Jack! You starting to show off with that camera now! I love to see good hunting pictures, keep them coming! I'm waiting on a new starter to come in this week for my 4 wheeler then I will be back at it. Worked all day yesterday on a project for someone and my foot did good. Little swelling at the end of the day but that was expected. I will be giving you a call as soon as that 4 wheeler gets fixed. Keep the phone handy and Take care!

Pictures
Steve, I'm like you I love to see good hunting pictures. There is a lot of things that happen out there in the woods and I like to have the camera along to tale the tale, as the ole saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words. I like to look back from time to time and see how the young dogs were doing at a certain age and all so to remenis on the ones that have done gone on and the friends that I hunted with. I know that if the lord lets me stay here that long, when it gets to where I cant go hunting, it will be nice to look back and retrace my foot steps.
Dan, Thank you for the good words on Tramp. I Have been keeping up with your cross on Dutch and Satara as much as possible on here. I thought that would be a good cross and looks like it has been. I saw where you went back and made the cross again. Good luck and I wish you the best with them.
Gonna keep Tramp in mind for Moonie, out of Dutch/Izzy first cross. Or possibly Jane down the road. Keep us updated on his pups!

Tramp 11 and Smoke
Tramp 11 and Smoke
My neighbor came down about dark and we loaded up Tramp and Smoke and headed to the swamp. We turned these two in off an ole woods road into a wet bottom. They split as soon as they hit the woods. I was having some trouble with Tramps collar loosing signal. I lost Tramps signal at 500 yrds to the left and southwest and I lost Smokes signal to the right and southwest at 925 yrds. I told Odell that we would get between them and get closer. When I stopped Tramp had struck and I could hear him pretty good, but I still was not picking him up on the Garmin and I still was not picking Smoke up. The Garmin said it was still 650 yrds to where it had lost signal on Smoke. We moved in a little closer to Tramp and I was picking both of the up. Smoke had heard Tramp and was headed to him. Soon they were to geather and had a good track going. We went around by the ole sunken swamp and was listening to the and Smoke locked up Treed with Tramp right behind him. Tramp hasn't been getting hunted ,but about once a month and it shows, but when you are hunting a couple of young dogs and getting them ready for the hunts. There just don't seem to be enough night time to go around. They were treed about 600 yrds from us and we started looking for a place to get closer to them. Everywhere that we would try to go in to them we would come to the back water. We must to have traveled nearly every road in that swamp, but every time we left the 4-wheelers and started walking we ran into backwater. I finaly went in close to the river and came around and got in there about 150 yrds from them and we left the 4-wheelers and started walking. I figured we would run into the water again before we got to them, but we didn't. We crossed a 4-wheeler trail before we got to them and I knew this road, but I thought it was farther down. We could have rode to within 20 yrds of the dogs. Oh Well. We got to the dogs and they were treed just inside of where it started to get sure enough thick.
They had been treed for about 2 hours. The tree pictured above was covered in vines and there were vines in the trees for a long ways. The coon could have went anywhere. We shined for a while, but if he was in there he wasn't looking. We petted the dogs up for a job well done and headed back to the 4-wheelers and called it a night.
Pups
They sure look good Mr. Jack!
Take Care,
Scott

Would the pup in the top right hand corner be for sale, and is it a male or female?

Thank you for being interested in the pups. the one that you are referring to is a female pup. There was only one male in the litter. I'm sorry, but they are all sold.
