Carl maybe we don't know the Honest answer! There is a few stud owners that are Honest, Been told I was too Honest to make it in this game, Evan lost a few so called friends for being Honest! Now to answer the question, I Don't Know, There should be a Big Market for any stud or stud owner that has stayed with the Game, Stayed Honest, Stayed with the same stock of dogs for a reason, Hobo and Pride has did all that, But it seems we need to go Buy a 7 or 8 year old Stud one you have never bred to before, now make him yours, tell how great he is, breed 10 females then start agen LOL..

Nite hunter you are definetly right about that for until a dog gets 7 or 8 years old and bred a bunch of quality females you don't really know where they are reproducers or not.

So what does that say if you have one at that age and is a repoducer you need to definetly have him collected as many times as possible.imo

Why do i even comment on one of these threads for i am not a breeder and should leave a thread like this for those that have more knowledge in this field.

Pride is headed to Ohio for a few months. He will be at Mike Blackburns, contact Mike about breeding to him. Mike has Swampmusic Brute and Ch. Swampmusic Black Ice there that he can let you hunt with them to see what Pride is throwing. If Ice isn't there he will have Ch. Swampmusic Blood Of the Moon there.

I like the shot of Cord in there. When I research hounds pedigrees for breeding, I see a thread of Cord in some of the better hounds. I made some calls on direct Cord dogs and Cord grand pups and every single person really liked them and the reports were all the same. Very balanced on track and tree and hard hunters. Time after time heard the same story so I like seeing that in there on anything that is getting bred.

Should be up to your standards in looks and ability.

Thanks Cripple Creek. Lacy is a real nice female in the woods and built really well, you can't tell by this picture but she has a nice blocky head. These pups should do well in the woods and have looks to spare.
We tried to get her bred last Fall but I was Hinkle we bred her to soon.

You got a good eye Randall i have shown these pups to about 10 different hunters at work and they all go for the 1st one dark head and seems to be a little smaller but i can tell more about them when i get to look at both of them together.

Hobo is nice enough that he is going to bring both pups to his parents house where we will be meeting and a hands on eye test i will give them.
That Red headed pup if it turns completely mahogney will be a looker so come the 13th i will be coming home with one or the other.

The first female pup, was the first pup out of the doghouse and the first one to try and eat hard food at 2 1/2 weeks old. She's going to look a lot like my Boone dog.

I like the redhead female myself. But then I have a thing for that dark red head.

For now there is no set time on how long Pride will be in Ohio. As long as Mike Blackburn doesn't mind feeding him he will be there. LOL

As far as how long I've been breeding this line I would say its around 15 years or so. When I originally bought Lobo from Mike Dohoney my plan was to get into the breeding side of things. Little did I know I would be getting married three years later and end up selling Lobo to Mike Dohoney and Mike Blackburn. Thankfully Mike Blackburn was good on his promise to me that if he ever decided to sell his half of Lobo he would give me the chance to buy him back. Three and a half years later I bought him back and I've been breeding this line of Walkers ever since.

Buckeye Hunters better take advantage of this once in a life time opportunity to breed to Swampmusic Pride who is now in OHIO.

Many years ago i had the chance to breed to the great House's Clint sire of House's Lipper and i passed up those opportunies and have regretted that so many times i could kick myself a thousand times.

Don't do like i did but rather take advantage of this great opportunity to breed to a proven stud dog Swampmusic pride.

Swampmusic Pride

I have recently acquired a pup directly off of Swampusic Pride that was as green as grass when i got him. The pup immediately showed he had a head full of sense and that he was a quick learner. Within 2 weeks being messed with cage coons he had already treed his own real live coon. He's a looker, loud, leads and loads and picks up on concepts the first go around. The first time i turned him out he went every step with the other dogs, and is how striking and treeing ahead of nice dogs after just a month or two of being messed with. Pride through a natural coondog in the making from what i can tell and from his other progeny I've seen it looks as if he's consistent. I'd highly recommend this dog!
