Chris and I are about to start getting serious with Rooster. He is one of the best acting pups I have been around. He was 900 yards by hisself the other night. Going hunting wont be a problem. I guess he gets it honest.

Justin, I was just a coon hunter then. I just saw/heard him wrapped around a couple of trees. I have never seen him up on a bench.

I heard that Boone won some more $$$ last night. He should be qualified for the $KC World hunt now. I just love a dog that can win in the winter with snow on the ground and the leaves off. Some dogs win hunts by getting to themselves and having a coon but Boone wins them by treeing 3 or 4 by himself. It doesn't matter if you have to strike back in for 25 each time when you can tree 4 coons.

Ya Richard, I did put a little more cash on Boone last night. I hunted against three of those tri colors. There was a decent turnout with 15 dogs. The final four decided to spilt with $67.50. He did well last night scoring a couple coons with other dogs then getting by himself with a few more after that. He ended up with 500+ and no minus.

Thanks to everyone for the congrats!!!

Boone got qualified for the World Hunt last night at the Martinsville, IN RQE. We got in by the skin of are teeth by placing tenth. We had a good night but ended up with 200+ and a bunch of circle. We hit den after den, but finally caught one in good tree. I believe there were twelve cast and several big scores turned in last night. Oh well we will take it. A cast win is all you can do sometimes.

Congrats Brother.....you and Boone been on a heck of a roll the past couple years and he just seems to get better with age....and he ain't really very old!
Keep up the great work. If people are paying attention in this breed....they already should be able to see that Boone is standing head and shoulders above most of the dogs he is competing with...and very few of them are red...so roll on buddy, your making the breed proud!
