Mr. Gerald You and your wife are more than welcome to come stay at my house next weekend. I would love to have yall. I don't have any extra pens, so your dogs will have to stay tied out. But yall are welcome to stay as long as you would like. I'm about 45 mins from the club house in Watson so come on and make yourself at home.

I use an old drip pot. Makes great coffee but she may want to bring her pot if she is not use to making it in a drip pot.

Finished our female out of Astro to Show Champiom again. Had her finished once but had a Best of Show thrown out by UKC because the show judge filled out the paperwork wrong and I never caught it on the win slip so went and got another BOS. She is a nice looking female that does well in the woods too. Her two littemates up here we have are also doing a nice job in the woods. I'm pleased with the dogs out of Astro that we have.

Gerald, do you know if he is still getting very many females bred to him? I like the ones we got out of Astro and Sally. Bred our female out of that cross to Ranger a little to early in her heat cycle and only got two pups but man are they sharp. I think a coyote or a stray dog got the other female from that litter but she was doing fine and the male dog out of Astro and Sally is sharp looking, quick to get treed and has a mouth on him that is loud and carries extremely well. He needs to be with someone who would hunt him hard and promote him like he should be pushed.

No, he's not getting a lot of gales bred, Bryan doesn't get on the computer much if any, and hasn't ran any adds on him in the last couple of years, so you know how that ends up, its tough promoting a blue stud even when he's being campaigned and winning, and his best strategy is who owns him, seems people are more interested in breeding to something because of who owns him more than what the dog is or reproducing, good to hear from you John, maybe I get can sneak up that way some time and do a little hunting..... Gerald

If you can make it up Gerald we will put something in the brush for sure. I've been hunting ranger and he still puts a coon on a limb about every turnout. He might be a little slower than he used to be but he can still get the job done and is a pleasure to hunt. He has put some nice pups on the ground so now I am letting him do what he enjoys which is treeing coon. Sucker is 10 years old but you still get him off the wood somewhere. Overall I like these Mad Dog bred dogs. Easy to start, not junky and they aren't afraid to look up a tree.

That's great John, I like them myself, they just seem be naturals, I was just telling Eddie Harp the other day I have seen old Ranger tree coons every time I went out with him, Tim really liked him and always said he believed Ranger would put some coon dogs on the ground..... Gerald
