Hey Tiny. Heres the pic I tried to text u. Bob Beckett from ohio. (Freds top payed handler) Took this pic when we called. Didnt shut er down till 11 that morning.

Great weekend with the southern boys up. Total count was 44 coon seen over 3 nights of huntin. And 1 bad azz porkie that bit the dust but not before givin a couple hundred quills to one of the young dogs.

Lotsa fun drink and bs.

The Canadian trip

Thanks Luke and Crystal for the mighty fine hospitality it was great. Luke you got the the best handler right but the pay is lagging a bit behind. Tiny,I guess ol polly wog named me the puple sock holder for the 2013 year trip .The old southern state boys took home the sock.Thanks to all the Canadians who made Freds and I trip memorable ,Pete Rines, Ken ,Tyler Luke and of course ol Polly Wog

NEW HUNTER

A little off topic from dogs, but just wanted to post my 13 year old boy passed his hunter safety course this weekend and got his hunting license. Were all pretty happy around here!

Looks like hes gona be shootn now and dads gona be carryin coons out. Used to be the other way around!

on getting your hunting license Brandon, now you can show your dad how to shoot all those coon. Its good for young hunters to learn the rules and regulation of hunting and the handling of your firearm that you are using as well. GREAT JOB

Cabin fever got the best of me tonite. Cold, big snow and 40 mile wind gusts. I loaded up big chip and headed north of the moira river for the big swamp country hopin the wind wouldnt be as bad there. I really didnt have high hopes but it appears these northern coon must be thinkin about the rut cause to my suprise there was a good track crossin the road!


Turned chip loose figurin hed be pretty rusty from bein laid up all winter, but he drove the track in 300 yards in a blink and come treed in the frozen flooded timber on the mighty moira


The tree was over hangin the river and 30 yards beyond was open water and skinny ice. Took this pic while standin at the tree.

If that coon had of decided to cross we probly woulda lost a dog. The river is deep and fast in this stretch and its takin the lives of many local coyote hounds

Head back to the truck happy as a pig in sh!t for remebering what a coon looks like. Load dog and dont go a quarter mile down the road and son of a gun theres another track headed the oposite way across the road.

Walked chip up to it and he buried his head down in it and then let out a beller to let me know the track was good. Cut him loose and had a beutiful run. Went in about 400 yards made a big loop and came back to me. Was cursin a bit thinkin he was runnin backwards, but the coon crossed right behind the truck and treed beside the road! Dont get no better then that.


One of my favourite things to do this time of year when the snows comin down is load up, get the extra large tim hortons and cruze around the back roads lookn to cut a track. Little different kind of huntin but i enjoy it. Sometimes ya go home without seein anything, but if ya do cut a track its usually a love sick boar that will giv a good run.

If yur readin this Bob, you need to get that buster dog finished to grand. When ya do we can send ya down big chip for your next project. Of course Freds gona have to float me a loan to pay ya for handling fees, the bricklaying just dont pay like the greenhouse business

Sory for ramblin on with the big story, but its been a tuff winter and gota shoot a little breeze to help with the cabin fever.

Boy Luke, you must be bored or crystal kicked you out of the house. Ol chip did a nice job on the snow that's the way we like to see them roll .Luke I wouldn't mind running chip in some hunts if you feel hes about ready here in the states. If hes anything like Freds female Ruby ,she's a track driving machine and accurate for the most part. I feel your pain about the brick masonary work Luke .I don't think Fred( the money man) wouldn't mind sponsoring ol chip, Freds almost a millionaire running that Greenhouse. Hows hunting season going. Bout over. Bob Yoders how many did u kill. Lol. Hows the pup doing Bob? Fred u r going to have to go back to Lukes to get some coon. Mr. Yoders has them all killed here. How's your pup doing Fred. Good hopefully. When I get some time n weather breaks we will get together and go one night. Luke sounds like chip is doing real good.
